There was a post not too long ago ago joking about United posting a delay for 2 minutes for one flight.

Anyway 881 ended up with a 22 minute. Overall it isn't a big deal. The only reason I am watching that flight is because I was suppose to be on that flight until my company's travel office swapped the UA intenerary for AA one due to price. I suspect it was significantly cheaper because the AA frame is still rocking the old angle J class seats. 😢

9/5 UA 857 SFO-PVG (N174UA) showing an estimated departure at 1500, 90 minutes late due to aircraft maintenance. Inbound is UA 900 LHR-SFO arriving at 1259, 26 minutes early. I'm guessing there was a frame swap on this one.

9/5 UA 869 SFO-HKG (N107UA) showing estimated departure at 1600, 2 hours 30 minutes late due to aircraft maintenance.

9/5 UA 835 ORD-PVG (N105UA) returned to gate at 1223 and departed again at 1322 and estimated to arrive at 1606, 2 hours 11 minutes late due to aircraft maintenance. 9/6 UA 836 PVG-ORD showing estimated departure at 1745, 1 hour 50 minutes late due to late inbound.

9/5 UA 35 SFO-KIX (N29907) departed at 1241, 1 hours 26 minutes late due to late inbound. Inbound arrived 9 minutes late at 1120, so I'm guessing there must be a frame issue, because the original scheduled time for UA 35 is 1115.

9/5 UA 9 SFO-CTU (N26902) departed at 1438, 1 hour 18 minutes late due to late inbound and estimated to arrive at 1918, 38 minutes late.

9/5 UA 34 KIX-SFO (N26902) departed at 1949, 3 hours 9 minutes late and arrived at 1311, 2 hours 36 minutes late due to late inbound.

9/4 UA 35 SFO-KIX (N26902) departed at 1453, 3 hours 38 minutes late and arrived at 1836, 3 hours 36 minutes late due to aircraft maintenance.

The issues above with UA 35 and UA 9 on 9/5 could stem from this, so they probably had to shuffle around the rotation for the 788/9.

9/5 UA 1614 IAH-SFO (N35953) departed at 1032, 3 hours 12 minutes late and arrived at 1213, 2 hours 42 minutes late due to late inbound.
9/4 UA 128 GIG-IAH (N35935) departed at 2217, 1 hour 7 minute late and arrived at 627, 1 hour 2 minutes late due to aircraft maintenance.

Looks like this was due to a frame swap to inbound 882 from NRT, arriving at ~2:30 today. 851 usually uses 882 from the day before, but yesterday's arrival isn't scheduled out till 851 tomorrow.

This is because 09/04 UA968 cancelled due to maintenance. This is B772 N77006, which has been at Newark since 09/01. Same frame is supposed to fly 09/05 UA84 EWR/TLV, but is currently delayed 1hr 45min for, yep, maintenance.

Once again, tonight while VA, Delta, and Qantas are already in the air to SYD, UA839 remains at the gate in LAX for "operational difficulties", late nearly an hour so far. What do those other airlines (I know Qantas has some kind of exemption from the curfew) know about flying to SYD that United doesn't?
