~Two domestic flights, rest int'l trans-pac business. Mostly booked in P, Z, C, D and 1 in A. Honestly, most of my fares were cheap P's & Z's which is dropping my spend per mile down, which might be why I have not been invited. I was hoping with my $63k spend I would be invited this year, I really tried to fly United as much as possible. In late Dec I have flown 1 leg of a $8k ticket, return leg in in 10 days, so maybe once this ticket is closed I will still have a chance....fingers crossed....good luck to everyone!

First time GS member (after 3 years CO platinum & 1 year UA 1K), just saw the update hit the app and website tonight, no email yet (hopefully not a glitch).

~$36K spend excluding taxes & fees, 87,780 PQMs, 141 PQS, 80,280 BIS, all domestic with a mix of B/M and discounted fares, all UA metal (a lot of UX). Seems like my stats differ from a lot of what I see posted, but I have a decent cpm which probably helped me. I'm glad to have made it this year and good luck to others still waiting to hear.

GS showed up on my account today. 120 PQM, about $35k PQD (UA metal only, no tax)

1K last year, GS the year before, CO platinum prior to that.

I did write a nice letter gently asking to be considered for GS when I was still 1K on January 1.

For those notified on December 20, has anyone received their card yet? I'm trying to find if there are any coupons (etc) sent only via mail.

I never received the 1K letter via mail and don't know if I missed anything besides a piece of plastic?

BTW, how does average spend per mile factor into all of this? If someone spends, for example, $25K in BusinessFirst and $50k in EconomyPlus (or $100k in EconomyPlus only), is there a reason that they wouldn't be invited? My assumption is that it takes to much effort to pamper 10 people paying an average $1000 per trip than one person paying $10,000 per trip?

I guess I have to spend the money BA (20k) got last year and apply to UA (35k) to sniff GS next year. Seriously, 200k pqm and 55-60k pqd should do the trick, right? I'm also guessing that you need a track record with UA? 1K & PP for the very first time in 2013, gold prior to that in 2012 and silver in 2011.

That seems too low cpm. You should try more like 90-100k PQD for 200 PQM to be "virtually" guaranteed.
