wow, just got my email too, GS! apparently endless complaining does work!
i spent $11,000 and flew 114,000 out of SMF...you people spending $50k out of hubs must feel ridiculous now! 10cpm GS! mostly on G and K fares, a few Ws that I used GPUs on and one H fare to EWR -- man that was an expensive ticket! :D hehehe......just kidding... |
First time GS
Just got my first time GS invitation.

I was GS for a while, then not when I changed companies (a fortune 100 firm to become an independent consultant) with similar spending, so I suspect GS may also have to do with whom you work for as to just dollar spending.
Probably not be relevant. I qualified in 2012 for 2013 GS status after leaving a major consulting firm to become an independent consultant. |

Mr. FrFF just received his invitation this afternoon. Due to his MM status, I guess I'm along for the ride as well. Will total up the spend asap.
|
I received the email as well. 433,000 EQM and about $195,000 in qualifying spending. It was nip and tuck there for a while...

No GS for 2014, but surprising soft-landing to 1K
Because of my flying patterns this year, ended up 50% UA, 50% DL. On UA, I have just under 40K PQM and $25K PDQ. Guess they're trying to keep me with my ~$0.80 yield (per BIS mile).
We can't thank you enough for your commitment to United® and MileagePlus® in 2013, and we hope you’ve enjoyed your Global ServicesSM experience. After careful consideration of your account, we are sorry to say that we will not be extending you an invitation for Global Services in 2014. Your current Global Services benefits will be valid through January 31, 2014, and from that point we will be pleased to recognize you as a 2014 MileagePlus Premier® 1K®* member. Thank you for continuing to choose United. We appreciate the relationship we have with you and look forward to welcoming you on board. Your Global Services team |

Welcome to the semi-unwashed crowd. |
opposite email
Oh well...got the opposite email today after numerous consecutive years as GS with my "recognition" by UA as a 1K in 2014. I can enjoy GS till 1/14. Since I am a 3.8 million miler, I already get this "benefit" by using my CO credit card and not flying one mile on UA, so means nothing to me. I think these demotion emails are new but can't be sure since this is my first
2013 Stats: 222k PQM (almost all on UA metal), >$60k spend, Paid UA business 4xAsia, 6xEurope, 2x SA; CLE based, 3.8 million lifetime miles |
Got mine today too..
2013 Premier Miles: 184,850 2013 Premier Segments: 48 2013 Spend $46,500 |
