UA: When are your upgrades clearing?

I have before, and yesterday before mine cleared I went in and updated it so I'd get a text, but I still didn't.

I often try setting an expertflyer seat notification on my old seat so if it opens up I have some indication, but there seems to be a lag and in this case my old seat was filled quickly.

Are the E-170 flights still subject to frankenflight issues where CPUs are only processed at the gate?

I have an EWR-PIT segment coming up and it was showing R4, T-96 passed and my PNR shows "Complimentary Upgrade Requested" and after clicking the redeem upgrade link, it still shows 4 seats available for upgrade.

At this pace for this weekend, I am looking to bat 0/6 for upgrades as a 1K.

ETA: It cleared... 1/6 now

So far this year, I am batting 100% of upgradeable segments. Only 1 out of 6 segments were upgradeable, and I got it at the 96 hour sweep.

Agree with this. My feeling is that with all the former top-ranking PMCO flyers who are now at Platinum status, many of whom still fly from/through PMCO hubs because that's what they're used to doing, a whole new layer of elites is now outranking former Premier Executives, now Golds, and making upgrades harder from/through PMCO hubs. That's why I always prefer to fly from/through PMUA hubs.

Upgraded on 4/8 eligible segments as a 1K in 2013. Three of those cleared at T-96 (ORD-SFO, IAH-ORD and IAH-LAS) and one at T-72 (ORD-IAH).

GPU SYD-SFO for 3/12/13 cleared 2 weeks ago - H fare
GPU LAX-MEL for 3/3/13 cleared today - H fare

Trip booked 12/3/12

1st time sitting on the upper deck of a 747. I am pretty excited!!!

Asked & answered, but I'll add that I cleared on an E-170 flight out of EWR at T-72h (purchased less than 96 hours in advance).

So far I am 16/18.One of the 2 failures was because I did standby to an earlier flight at T-10m, after the last pax was a no-show. The other got me 3D&3F to myself on an E-170, arguably more comfortable than F. That's all Express (my last mainline UA flight was over 6 months and > 50 segments ago).

I'm 1/1 on US without status. That's actually a bad thing (for US, not for me). I got on an earlier flight and got the last open seat, which was in F. I assume the GA did that because upgrading a US elite and giving me the Y seat would have taken too long. At least US doesn't have an online upgrade standby list, so no DM member knew that he/she was losing an upgrade.

First UPG of the year came through for Friday flight, DEN>LAX, T-48(R).
I will certainly be first in line for Group 1 so I can enjoy every minute. JK.

So far this year, I'm 2 for 2 confirming UG at purchase and 0 for 2 in battlefield UGs - all instrument supported. Worse than last year.

The few upgrades I have cleared since 3/3 have almost always cleared near T-24 or at the gate or on the airplane. I've had exactly 1 upgrade on a domestic segment that cleared a few days before the flight.

5/8 here in 2013 as far as upgradeable segments go.

4 of those 5 were in pmUA planes going to and from EWR. The other was on a pmUA metal to IAD
