Back in November: HNL-MCO-ATL-HNL on DL, 3 pax $2,474, $824 ea. About $1,300 less than UA for a similar run through BNA.

Definitely smaller amount will be paid on UA -> Service definitely does not justify paid C. For all the paid C/F routes, AA will get them, and a bit goes for Skyteam/DL. Was tempted to do paid C on NH or SQ, but paid C does not help MM at all either.

Fly 100k BIS -> 1K -> 100k lifetime miles
Fly 66k BIS paid C -> 1K -> 66k lifetime miles

Once I get to 1MM, I will stop flying UA for a little while.

A little over $10K on AA as I took the 55K challenge.

DL to syd, johannesberg

I am a 1K on UA, feeling like a stepchild since the merger. Matched status with DL, and with ewr as my home airport, I am willing to drive an extra hour to avoid UA.

Dec 2012, 2 pax, NYC-MSY, ~$400/pax on a Delta MD vs $700/pax on a UA ERJ
Feb 2013, 2 pax, NYC-MSY, ~$800/pax in business vs. $700/pax in coach on a UA ERJ
May 2013, 2 pax, NYC-MSY, ~300/pax on Delta MD vs $500/pax on a UA ERJ
Dec 2012, 1 pax, NYC-MSP, $700 in DL business vs $1100 on a UA ERJ
Jan 2012, 1 pax, NYC-MSP, $700 in DL business vs. $800 on a UA ERJ
Jan 2012, 1 pax, Miami area-MSP, $800 on DL MD non-stop vs $1200 UA via IAD

Edited to add: Despite the fact that we are in NJ, and EWR is more convenient for us than LGA, we (Ms. JG, my business partner and his wife) basically only use United for international anymore. Delta seems to have a better schedule, more non-stops, better equipment, fewer cancels, less weather disruption, and prices that range from 50% to 25% less than United. We would use Delta for international, too, but JFK is just too inconvenient. We've gone from being Gold/Plat to none/silver since the merger.

$120 on US Airways CAK->JFK, since United wanted hundreds more to fly from CLE->LGA nonstop and had no reasonable schedule to JFK.

~ $500 BOS-SFO-BOS with one stop last month on AA. They sure treated me well with upgrades on all flights (as a matched EXP), complimentary Admiral Club Admistion and complimentary WIFI. And they even have on-seat power that works!

If they had BOS-SFO non-stop, they would have me hooked for life.

MEX-ORD-MEM on AA, $900 AI (yikes!), still $300 cheaper than UA. Booked 1 month out. Never cheap when flying to MEM.

I dropped a whopping $400 on US for a DCA-IAH flight next week (DCA-CLT-IAH-PHL-DCA, please kill me...), as UA wanted $1,400 for DCA-IAH nonstop (B fares and up only). Even BWI was sky-high.

Last minute Chicago-Columbus. UA wanted over $600 with a limited schedule on RJs. Southwest was under $150, flights pretty much every hour. No brainer.

$10K on two AA/oneworld paid C trips

EZE in a few weeks...half the price of the sad, lone UA flight now running through IAH.

RUH after that - a fun AA/BA/QR combo where I'll get to visit the LHR T5 Galleries First lounge for the first time, as well as the DOH Premium Terminal.

My AA CPM is quite high this year, as that's where all my paid int'l C trips have gone. Still give UA those cheap domestic trips though
