I'm done flying for the year. I spent over $50K with AA that as a long time 1K and MM, United would have normally received before they outsourced most of their flights to UAX. UA received about $2K this year and next it will be ZERO.

I'm heading into 2015 with 12 SWUs that are actually usable.

Got a jump start on my 2015 travels and booked two trips to New York and one to Austin with Delta, they got about $1,000 including one trip in paid First.

United got half a trip to Omaha to split with AA and that was only because I had a cancelled ticket credit I needed used.

This year to date United has lost over $39,000 in my revenue. I tjhink I only had to take UA twice, both domestic to/from SNA, because of limited service here. Otherwise I use AA and Delta for domestic, and a few international carriers for overseas.

And given the MASSIVELY better service on those airlines, my international revenue will NOT be coming back to UA.

I flew just enough to get credit on UA for renewal of 1K this year then nearly $30K of international spend went to other carriers because of the pathetic service on UA. I am moving more of my flights away from United with a planned escape early next year if there is no improvement - given what I've seen so far, looks like lots of AA in my future.

After 10 years as CO Plat or UA 1k, I switched my business over to US/AA. End of 2014 totals:

UA: 8 segments, $697. Half of the flights were pushed from AA to UA due to WX/MX delays. The rest were purchased with a travel cert I'm trying to burn.
AA/US: 210 segments, ~$40,000.

Well, I tried to spend $1800 on an EU itinerary for February only to find that UA has dropped SMF-IAD, so I can't connect to/from my needed TATL flight with one stop. If I have to take two stops anyways, I'm taking Air France exLAX. Bought a premium economy ticket for $2k.
