Is the LAX-JFK still considered PS with only two classes now?

I just found out about advanced mode and it looks like no R seats in any of the flights even though there appears to be ample open seats.

Yes all flights LAX-SFOJFK and SFO-JFK are PS and all are two class aircraft (28 J lie flat seats)

Yes it is not uncommon for there to be no R on booking if booking less than 10-12 weeks out. However even if booking without R space, the chances for 1K clearing are very good for most flights.

Question about when these appear. I have a two leg flight, and the first leg is a single cabin flight and the 2nd leg has available F seats. Connection time is ~4 hrs. If I do OLCI at t-24 for leg 1, will I have a change at seeing a decent TOD for leg 2, or do I have to wait for t-20 (or t-24 of the 2nd leg).

Any thoughts? Thanks!

So I answered my own question for tomorrow's flight.

Aug. 27
IAH-LGA, UA 1259
$109 from K -> F at OLCI. Took it.
For what was the last available seat in F before a long weekend and the fact that I'd have to pay for a checked bag anyway (no status), seemed reasonable.

I have a TATL in a couple of weeks.

No option to for "Buy Up to First" upgrades but I can get wait listed for buying with miles and copay, $550 and 20k miles each way.

So if I were to get a TOD offer, it might happen at OLCI?

I'm a Premier Gold.

TOD means "Tens of Dollars." You are not going to get a TOD offer on a TATL.

Well I don't expect that, but haven't people posted the offers they got on various international flights?

Just wondering if I may get last-minute offers of some kind, something other than the $550 and 20k miles each way upgrade offer.

All at OLCI:

STL-ORD $89 W->R declined
ORD-SMF $249 W->R declined
IAH-SMF $209 W->R declined

Lengthy waitlists for all and no R space for RPUs.

You may. The typical offer Y-J these days is around $869.

Lga->iah $79 L -> P
iah->lga $79 L ->P

Now I fully understand why I wouldn't get upgraded as a 1K after the merge.
In addition, the buy up people won't show up on upgrade list.
So many times, you see 5-6 F seats available when check in and then
they disappear before departure. Yes people pay $79 and you lose the upgrade space.

UA is doing a heck of a job taking care of its frequent fliers.

Messed up. L is a cheap fare, doubt that's the price diff to an -UP. But will verify.

It's probably pulling the (likely cheaper) fare to your final destination accidentally. SHARES is crap.

No...SHARES is good.
It releases me from chasing 1K status year after year.
I didn't believe TOP until I got 2....
Now, I will just buy the dirt cheap fare on UA when I have to fly them.
When SHARE offer TOD, I will take it.
I don't need to spend any extra $ on UA.
I don't need to worry about upgrades.
After all, there is hardly CPU now.
People think PQD would help their upgrade rates is a dream.
They will spend lots of money for their 1K/GS status but I will be in F by spend $79!!
With SHARES, everything is possible besides CPU.
