I would tend to agree, it's just hard to figure out why else this would be kicking in now ...

Could this be due to the time your upgrades cleared? Pre-3/3: Z, and post-3/3: R for domestic and ZG for international...?

New Problem - Shares Won't Display Avail Flights!
Tried to book a multi-destination itinerary today and cannot get Shares to list all available flights unless I switch to one-way search. But that won't do me any good because they won't display when I try to do my RT booking. So, I know the flights are there and space is available (over 6 months out, by the way), but there is no way I can incorporate them into my itinerary. It's like Shares was trying to force me into 3-4 hour layovers instead of the 1-2 hour ones that I wanted. Price was not an issue--I was unable to find the flights that I wanted when searching by schedule.
I called the "No-K" line and the friendly  agent told me that it wasn't possible to book the itinerary with the flights that I wanted, so I was forced to go to Orbitz to book it, and actually saved $5- over what ITA told me it would cost on .bomb--But I lose the EQM bonus for not booking on .bomb, so it is not the ideal situation. What is going on here?!! Is it possible that UA doesn't want us to use their booking engine, which, by the way, is glacially slow compared to Orbitz??? Shares is a real POS (person of size)! |

But with award travel I don't have the luxury of going to Orbitz. I'm also not inclined to spend 3 hours on the phone with the 1k desk either. |
The old CO site allowed you to see where you were on the upgrade list. The new site doesn't have this.
The old UA site allowed you to see your upgrade inventory as far as who used it, who you sponsored, etc. Is it possible with the new site? I don't see it. |

Not sure if this has been posted, but when I get an email confirmation with my e-ticket in my Outlook, I cannot print it out. It hangs up my browser, which is Firefox. I used to be able to print these out prior to 3/3/2012.

New one this morning - double refund of the 1K credit card fee six months away from when it is due ... man, this system's seriously messed up :D
Refund #1 rec'd 48 hours after I called Refund #2 rec'd last night/this morning Now where my flight is not until October, I'm going to leave the money in my account and not to say anything until after I fly as my gut tells me that the way things are going, CodbaUA will end up canceling my itinerary (and maybe take the money back twice as well) but I will call them after I fly and the miles post to see if they want their money back ;). |

For the examples I cited above all were for domestic post 3/3 travel. Go figure?
4/21 UA266 SFO-ORD posted as Z with the accompanying PQM/RDM bonuses. 4/22 UA3553 ORD-SDF posted as ZT without any bonuses (T was the original booking code). (both flights are on a SFO-SDF leg that I upgraded with a single RPU from a T booking code) I don't really see any rhyme or reason for the difference either. |
This may be minor in the general scheme of things, but it indicates just how much clean up they still are doing almost two months after the systems integration:
1 Stop. Time on the ground in Washington, DC (IAD - Dulles) is 41 minutes. Change Planes. Equipment changes in Washington, DC (IAD - Dulles) to a Boeing 777-200. No, you actually have to change that many planes. This is legit.
Obviously no time to visit the LH lounge at IAD on that trip. |
All miles gone?
Hello all, quick question:
I have not used my MP account since late last year (am German, and seldomly used MP) and today logged in for the first time since the merger. To my dismay I do still have my lifetime miles, but all other miles are simply gone, and the account history for 2011 is completely empty. I still do have an email account statement from Sept. 2011 stating my active mileage account and expiry date (Feb 2013!). Has that happened some times? Is that just a really bad glitch? Would I call or write to them about that? Thanks :) |

Maybe the FT naysayers are on to something after all. |
