28 Copies of a Receipt

Greetings,

Just changed a flight on line to change my return. I got 28 copies of the receipt. I did go into the header of the mail message and sure enough, each one of these had a different message ID.

Not a big problem, but surprising.

What a nightmare from an IT management perspective...

It would seem something is very wrong, yes. Seeing same thing; between erratic posting behavior, and getting kicked out of assigned seats on a constant basis, the whole thing is downright weird right now.

Trying very hard to stay reasonably rational, somewhere between the COdbaUA and UAdbaUA crowd, but they sure aren't making it easy for ya ...

Yes. I have had major problems with the site on my employer's network. I had to go across the street and login thru Starbuck's wifi to book a flight.

It looks like one of the many annoyances has been fixed: I had a reservation for a "direct" flight (i.e. UA881 ORD-NRT-BKK, with plane change but not flight number change in NRT), and the system would not allow me to choose a seat on the second flight. I had talked to a number of agents over the past months, who said this was a known issue for direct flights.

All of a sudden today, I can choose a seat on the second flight and it has stuck. Anyone else have this success?

Yes. It seems very hard to stay logged in across pages if you are connected through a proxy server (as most corporate nets are). I have to drop my corporate VPN to actually get anything done on the United site. Really odd behavior.

Thank you - knowing I am not alone helps!

And unacceptable. Of course VPN wasn't huge back in 1995

Nor in 1975 when SHARES seems to have been born

We continue to have serious issues. Tried to get ticket issued today using zone fare certificate. Forty minutes. Flight went delayed and it took nearly 30 minutes to get accomodated in Y of course for a redeye flight. It was lots better when UA and CO stood on their own.

RTWSTARALLIANCE Apr 19, 2012 5:48 am

Arriving at the UA Club at IAH told my ticket is paper. See the agents at the counter I am told. Treated like some idiot criminal by the CO matrons because UA has FAILED to train their staff properly. Agent comments she has no idea how I made it to IAH on the ticket I had. Well I am here so work with it! This entire merger is a joke. And for wasting my time in CA offered a $100 voucher to arrive 9 hours late. I wonder how they treat their best clients. :td:

Upgraded B Class Posted as PN (Incorrect award miles)

Purchased a roundtrip B class fare. Upgraded both segments at time of booking. Outbound flight posted as B with 125% Award miles and 150% PQMs.

Return flight posted as PN with Award miles at 100% and 150% PQMs.

Close, but still having issues.

(Three A class segments are still posted as ZH with no bonuses.)

UA-NYC Apr 19, 2012 7:17 am

Just had my first negative PQMs post!

Just when I was praising UA for calling in yesterday AM about missing segments, and miles posting later that day. I know they'll apparently cancel out in the next few days (what a band-aid). Hopefully they'll actually add to my lifetime balance.

Haven't been able to log in via the iPhone app since yesterday afternoon.

BTW, posting time averaging 96 hours (not 72) for me

Posting time for 6 of my 8 last legs is a limit function approaching infinity. I'm walking away from ~45K PQM for the year. It just isn't worth the time.
