Hi UA Insider,
I try to get a seat assignment (20J) on a B777-200ER. Every time I log back, it automatically throws me into 23K. The reservation shows I'm in 23K. The original seat (20J) is shown as occupied too. Called CS, the same thing happens.

Try to see the seat map and start a booking process, it shows 23K is unoccupied. ???!!!

I hope I still have my aisle seat at check-in!!

On some PMUA 772's 17-20 HJ seats are blocked as a Crew Rest

Same experience here. Whether that is enough to register my passport in the system for my Int'l trip in 2 weeks is what I am curious about.

Thanks nova08 and SFO 1K. I will try my passport anyway, at a kiosk when I fly doemstically next week. According to the "using a kiosk" page on united hub, it seems to suggest that your passport info will be stored. Hold face down, until you get a blinky light. Got it. ^

[QUOTE=danville 1K;18336869]Couldn't agree more. After following the instructions I tried turning my passport every which direction possible, with the same results every time. Thought it might be that particular kiosk, so went and tried one at the ticket counter. Same result. Sigh.[/QUOTE

Yet another passport scanning experience: at SEA on 3/31 the BH's needed a passport scan & we went to side-by-side kiosks. Kiosk-left (me) wouldn't/couldn't scan my passport despite several tries; Kiosk-right (Ms BH) scored on the 1st attempt. Finally, Ms BH took *my* passport & scanned it on "her' kiosk. Success!! ...???

Similar issue here. Had the right balance for about a week and then it went off again.

From February statement:
Ending Balance as of 02/29/2012 105,548 25,997 5

From "activity since last statement":
Beginning Balance as of 03/01/2012: 105,548 20,305 5

How difficult is it to write code that has the ending balance of one month equal the beginning balance of the next month?

Miles for rebooked flight

Not sure if this is an integration-related issue...

So I traveled to Japan on AA (you guess why). The route was PIT-DFW-NRT/NRT-LAX-DFW-PIT, C on intl segments and F on domestic. Inbound NRT-LAX was delayed due to weather. As I approached T4 right when my DFW flight was scheduled to leave, I checked AA's mobile app and found myself rebooked in F on UA direct LAX-PIT that lands only 20 minutes later than the original flight from DFW (pretty impressive, I should say). The UA flight was surprisingly uneventful except for minor traffic delay but I couldn't help feeling the curse of UA :p.

Anyway, miles for LAX-PIT posted a few days later but the fare class shows as ZK and no F bonus posted. PQM posting is also strange: it does show up in the activity table but exact same amount was subtracted from the balance as of 3/1/12 and therefore no net increase.

I believe ZK is upgrade to C from K fare? I have no idea where it came from. The original ticket was paid C/F and the receipt on ua.com shows F. This is the first time I was rebooked on a different carrier so I was wondering if anyone had similar experiences.

I can't comment on the fare class, but the negative PQMs thing is temporary and will turn positive in a few days. It is being widely reported and happened to me.

Flight upgraded to ON - miles still not posted

Flight upgraded to ON. These flights are not posting miles or PQM/PQS class of service bonuses correctly. For flights going forward, we hope to have a fix in place soon. To correct postings for previous dates, we’ll be refreshing these calculations later in the week after the fix goes in (updated 7:00a, March 31)

I purchased a UA ticket in FEB and used CR1 upgrades each way for travel Mar 7th and 9th. After the 3MAR merger the upgrades showed as ON. Took the flights. No miles posted to date.

I took note of the UA Insider post on this thread so I know UA is aware of the issue. But how much longer will it take? I saw the Mar 24 update, nothing happened that week. Next a Mar 31 update saying a fix is on the way but still no fix. Do I wait for another update? Does anyone know when UA will fix this?

I am trying to be a good UA customer trying to avoid tying up phone lines but when will enough be enough? When should I just be one of the many jamming the phone lines? (BTW- 1K voice never responded to me). Frustrating.

I am not at all surprised that the "fix date" has come and gone. There is a re-sweep coming on tax weekend. Supposedly. The trouble is that if you were to call MP about this, they would just tell you that a sweep is coming and they won't act on your ON issue. There have been several posts where people have tried to call in the last few weeks and been told just that.

I know it's not much help.

I used RPU to upgrade two transcons on the same ITN. Both showed ON class. The outbound credited correctly one or two days after the flight. The return did not post miles until this morning (6 days later) but the EQM still only reflects the outbound but not the return flights.

When did you complete your travel? The person to whom I was responding traveled around March 17. UAInsider said that the ON issue was being fixed for newer flights, and that they would then go back to fix older ones. Perhaps it might be a last-in-first-out situation?

Called MP today about missing miles from segments flown on 3/10 & 3/11... ICC gave me a new "fix" date of 4/15... seems like the gov't gets it's fix the same day!!! I said "yeah right" but the agent didn't get it... must be a language thing...

I talked to GS last evening about missing ON flight miles and the un-moving lifetime miles too -- same reply, it's now ~Apr 15.

This is a newly-configured 777-200ER with AVODs. The agent was able to assign the requested seat for me. I was able to do it myself online too. But after logging back to the reservation, the seat assignment was gone and I was mysteriously re-assigned to 23K every time, the window seat. :td:

I hope this is just a "display" issue.

so, I had something SIMILAR happen recently. Needed AWARD tickets from SFO to IAH to LIM. A couple weeks ago, we booked a couple, but needed two more. ALL the first cabin was open, but when I went to book last week there was NOTHING listed. Expertflyer showed ZERO, Economy STANDARD was available.

But when I CALLED IN (read, waiting 45 minutes on the Platinum line!!!!) of course there was PLENTLY of STANDARD award seats in First (books into business for some stupid reason) and the call center agent was able to book it no problem. They did charge me 25$ per reservation though which is bunk, since we took the mileage from my #1 1P 1MM GF account, so apparently that is why it cost 25$, but I tried to push back saying "but WHY doesn't this work online, why can't I book AWARD reservations ONLINE and if I CAN'T, they HOW can you charge me 25$ for luxury of waiting 45 minutes on hold, only to be told it now costs me 50$ to book"

Does this make ANY sense to anyone? Why wouldn't such award availability show up online? Is this just another way to drive passengers to the ridiculous call center and then PAY for bookings?

Sounds like the agent cleared the FN space for you as a courtesy, and that would definitely be worth $25.

Also: howdy, neighbor!
