5 April 2018 -- UA started posting an "expiration date", appears to be at least 18 months after most recent activity (some are longer for unknown reasons)
also states
Expiration had previously been in the T&Cs for some time (2 years of inactivity? but now is 18 months) and had stated an ETC would be issued if the funds did timeout. Unclear if that still applies.
The Gift Registry has been disabled since Fall 2017 (Sept?) (appears this may be related to a tax issue?)

I have the same issue that there was no option in payment method to use my TravelBank Cash while online booking.
So I call this website support (800) 396-1751 to reach an operator to solve the problem.
When I was at the last step to buy the ticket, she instructed me to "other forms of payment", choose 'pay in person', and choose 'United Ticket Office', and then purchased the ticket.
I then gave her my confirmation number, and she manually applied my TravelBank cash to the ticket, as well as my credit card to complete the purchase. She then waived the service charge.
Hope it helps.

So I went to check my subscription expiration (pretty sure I renewed back in Sep/Oct or so) and balance and I'm showing a $0 balance and when I click on the link it takes me to the signup for the Travelbank credit card.
Any way to see when my last subscription was? I feel like I should have a balance a few hundred dollars greater than 0.

Well, since the annual fee was paid by credit card, check your card account around the time for a $25 fee from United to see if you have renewed in the last 11 months.

I just wanted to chime in with another datapoint where I'm unable to apply TravelBank funds as the option does not appear. Every itinerary I've tried has been entirely on UA metal.

If could possible expire but it is still accessible via phone agents
As an aside, found it is also accessible for paying monthly wifi subscriptions.

Yes, this helps.
This is so United. Just another example of UA totally messing up their website (an entire airline) and fixing with a band-aid.

Another data point. PNR's ticketed online before membership expiration and flown post membership expiration are not automatically receiving the $5 credit.
The credit needs to be requested however multiple agents cannot find the request page in the new system.
CS was able to resolve.

Completed a trip 30 days ago. Still never received my $5 credit in my travel bank. I’ve had them submitted several internal tickets to get the $5...,, but nothing ever happens. I talked to supervisors about this and they could care less. I can’t email any specific department who audits the travel bank..... and there’s no one I can write a letter to about this..... it’s just so poorly managed. All I can do is continue harass them about this.

Its been a while, but every time I’ve had missing credits, I send the info there and the credit appears within about a week. I’ve never received a response or anything, but someone always does something because the updates show up in the account.
