Flying ORD-SFO this week on a 752.
What can I expect for dinner?

Green salad w/ asian dressing, a spring roll (which was absolutely tasteless---yuck!) and a choice of wheat or harvest dinner roll..
I was on that flight too... you're right about that spring roll!

CO Mid-Con Dinner

Here's the dinner from my IAH-LGA flight last night:

The main course was Jambalaya; the other option was cheese ravioli, I believe.

Sides were a cup of minestrone and a small salad.

Dessert was cheesecake with a strawberry topping.

SFO to BWI #707 PMUA 1/23/2012

Warm nuts in a ramekin.

Cheese Ravioli with Marinara sauce

Warm cookie for desert.

No pre-departure drink offered. We were just under two hours delayed with a quick turn at the gate.

Really good Flight Attendant. One of the nicer ones I have come across.

EWR-ORD mid-day

What can I expect EWR-ORD, 2:30PM departure? According to CO.com, this doesn't fall into the breakfast, lunch, or dinner time slots. However, same page says meal service for flights over 2 hours.
All I need is a salad or some fruit.

What will they have?

Looking at that page, here's what I see:

"Lunch is served on flights departing between 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m"
My flight departs 2:30 p.m. so no lunch
"Dinner is served on flights departing between 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m."
My flight departs 2:30 p.m. so no dinner

"Flight Duration: Over 2 hours - Dining Selections: Meals"
My flights is over 2 hours, so I get a meal

Not understanding how hard this was, but RIGHT under what you copied and pasted it says;

Light snacks are offered on the following:
Flights over two hours departing between 5:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Flights over three hours departing between 8:00 p.m. - 5:00 a.m.

The snacks that are served between 5am - 8pm are usually very filling.

I hope this answers your questions....

DL raises the transcon meal bar

As a comparison, I just posted a report in the DL forum on yesterday's DL transcon meal.

UA keeps proclaiming the new lie flat PS will be the 'best' transcon product in the sky.

They better look at this meal and wine as a standard if they want to compete.
