I'm booked on TK30 EWR-IST on Dec 8. The plane shows up as an A330-300 on TK's website, but as an A350-900 on UA's website. The seat map resembles the A350-900. Which plane should I expect for the flight?

FlightView says A350-900. All this week it has been the A350-900.

I appreciate the advice. Thank you. There's nothing that tells me there's a ticketing issue or at least neither of the two TK agents I spoke with made any mention of an issue. Also, it's not that we don't have seats as we were auto-assigned Row 1 in the aisle/dreaded middle seat combo. From the seat map, hardly anything else is taken in J.

I also sent in a request for seats on the feedback form yesterday but, so far, nothing has happened. In fact, I can't even be sure the feedback went through as there was no confirmation it was sent. Is that normal?

I have something strange happening on my VNO>IST>IAD itinerary as well. On the website I'm unable to book seats on the return IAD>IST leg. On the app it worked just fine. Maybe it indeed is just a glitch. Try the app if you haven't already. In my case I'm Elite flying in J.

The app is what I've been using which works fine for two of the flights but not the other two. I just sent another message through the TK feedback page and this time it looks like it went through so hopefully someone on the back end can fix the issue. Thanks again to ISTFlyer for the tip.

TK support person called me directly this evening and handled the whole thing. I'm impressed. :tu:

I am flying ORD-IST business class. Any suggestions on choosing the best business class seat. SeatGuru doesn't show seat map for Turkish airlines.

It's Turkish Airlines TK6, plane is Boeing 700-300ER, flying in January 2022.

They have a 2-3-2 config on that plane. There are 7 rows, tottaling 49 lie flat seats. Some planes feature a slightly different divider, but the seat is the same. I would avoid rows 1, 4 and 7 as they can be close to toillets/galley.
if travelling in an even number of passengers I would rather seats AB/JK as they are in pairs.
if travelling in a trio the center seats (DEG) could be better.

Travelling alone... choosing a centre aisle seat means that you might have the middle seat empty.

And if that middle seat is occupied by somebody travelling with a companion, they'll probably try to access the aisle by climbing over their companion. :D

I'm sure that there is a thread somewhere though, so I imagine a mod will be along shortly to merge threads.

I have selected 4J. It appears to be ok. I will change it if I can get a better one.

I like this idea. I'm flying solo on the same flight in a couple of weeks. The only potential backfire here is if I end up sitting next to a child. I would think the chances of sitting next to a child in AB/JK is much smaller.
