Best and Worst
Unfortunately, Turkish Airlines provides some of the best and some of the worst attributes in the airline industry.
While the food, the lounges, cabin service and planes are among the industry's best, their airport service (customer cervices, ticketing, etc. at least in IST and MIA), their website, many of the policies are among the worst. And the latter seem to be moving in the wrong direction as well. Very inconvenient. |

Probably a small schedule change. Call TK call center and approve the change and while calling you can assign your seat.
I would add that I was fairly pleased by the speed and efficiency when calling in. No waiting at all. Is that typical? |

I'm quite sure the answer is buried somewhere in this thread but I cannot find it...
How can I select seats on a TK issued SQ codeshare flight? I was able to choose seats for the two legs operated by TK but not the one operated by SQ. Is there a way to find the SQ PNR? |

From my experience you won’t be able to assign seats and each call center will ask you to call the other airline’s call center. If you have any luck, please report. |

Still can't book my tickets 30 days prior to departure. Any suggestions other than the unfriendly TK customer service line?

Do *G get seat selection prior to check in? UA 1K here and the TK website still insists I pay for any seat selection for my July flight at this point.

If the website is tweaking again, try it through the app if you have a minute (just needs your booking confirmation) or call it in as a last resort. friendly wave to UA 1k land, them upgrades must be nice :-) |

Seat selection on Turkish Airlines?
So I booked a CDG-IST and IST-HAN fares with TK for mid-October. My fare type is economy (T). I can't seem to select the seats for any of the two flights for free. There's a cost for each seat. For a carrier like TU, is this normal? When will seat selection be free?

Can someone here confirm for me that TK166 from Istanbul to Hanoi on October 19, 2018 is full? Yesterday, I was not able to select any seats for that flight unless I paid for the two available seats, which are in the middle of the aircraft. So I called TK and the rep said the system won't let her assign a seat for me. She told me to just wait or go to the airport. I checked ExpertFlyer and apparently the flight is full for that day. A couple of hours later, I used my ticket number to check the flight again and now I can select the two seats in the middle of the aircraft for free. I would prefer a window seat. So is Expertflyer correct that the flight is full? What can I do now to get that window seat especially for a 9h30m flight.
