Known system issue. That’s all I know.
By the way, according to statements ( speeches ) from TK executives, they would change the seats of A350/787-9 so the seating plan is likely to change.

I just booked an award ticket in economy class.
I can choose the seats paying 35 TRY (5 EUR). The seats on 737-800 are 3A and 3B, but i think it's a business class until row 4. Am i right?

Yes, that's a Business Class seat, however, I wouldn't pay for it until a week before departure as it's highly possible that the aircraft type could be changed and you may get a middle 3B instead and in that case, you wouldn't be able to deal with TK stating that the original seat was a Business Class seat and you won't get a refund.

Ok, but i suppose i can choose free of charge the same seats 100 days in advance the flight, right?

Free seat selection from 100 days until the flight is only valid for international flights and domestic flights booked with an international connection on the same ticket.
It does not apply for solely domestic itineraries.

Seat suggestion for family of three, including a pre-schooler, travelling Business between ORD-IST on 77W and IST-DPS on 789? Was thinking 2D/2E/2G for the first leg and 3K/4K/5K for the second, with the little one between us. Thoughts?

On a 77W, any DEG row would be fine. For 787-9 flights, I would suggest that you get an E-F block for the preschooler and one parent, in order for your kid's comfort during meal times, etc...

Just purchased a LAX-IST round trip flight departing on March 21. While the return a week later is open for seat selection, I can't select any seats on the LAX-IST sector. What is up with that? Fully booked flight?

I'm not sure if anyone has tried this, but I just selected my desired TK seats using Lufthansa.com as I was selecting seats for non-TK flights.

We will see if they stick at the 100 day mark. For now, I don't have worry about being stuck in the middle of the 3-seat business class section.

That's super interesting, at a LH + TK combination ( single ticket issued by TK during IRROPS ), I was also able to select a seat and more interestingly, I was able to change seats after obtaining my boarding pass for the TK leg on LH.com.

Just wondering, is exit-row seats or bulkheads free on LH.com for TK flights?

Is this new, or have TK flyers been able to do this before? No more waiting until 100 days; I'm good with that!

I've always used LH for my OS and LO flights. TG was pretty good as well (guessing Amadeus system).

Unless you have both a LH ( or LH group ) and a TK flight on your ticket, you would not be able to log in to your reservation on LH.com and select seats for TK flights. This was always the case.
The recent improvement is that on reservations with both LH ( or LH group ) and TK flights, you are able to select seats on LH.com.

When will TK allow for seat selection again? Shows the following message even for December and January flights:

Seating arrangements on flights will be in accordance with coronavirus prevention measures. Seat selection will be permitted on these flights.

Probably not earlier than 1 May 2020.

Just booked a few flights for December and discovered this the hard way. Do you know if agents can manually assign seats if I call?
