I may be flying TK for the first time on the 777, ORD-IST. If travelling alone in J, which seat do you recommend. I do not mind the bank of three seats, but would prefer not to have the FA leaning over me to serve the middle seat.
|
I suggest that you book an aisle or window, then. |

I bought an award J ticket on TK using Aegean Miles and Bonus miles, and found out that TK website will not display the booking, nothing will work, not Aegean pnr or ticket nr, nor TK pnr. I could however assign my seats through TK call center.

Not sure if this has been discussed already but is there any way to reserve the bulkhead seats in business class in advance? I'm referring to 5A and 5K on the 777-300ER. On the seat map these are shown as occupied while in reality they are simply just blocked. Have tried calling the call center several times hut to no avail, they insisted that the seats are taken even though the cabin is empty.

Elite Plus do not even get free seat selection on TK? Quite stingy treatment of elites :td:
However, still, no free extra legroom ( bulkhead or exit-row ) seats for Elite & Elite Plus members. Currently not applicable for international flights ( every pax has free seat selection ) but after the alcohol reduction movement due to cost-cutting, we could assume that TK would apply the same process for international flights on a close date. |

For my upcoming economy booking (international, short-haul), there was a charge for seat selection

For non-exit-rows or non-bulkhead seats?
Are premium seats released to be selected for free at check-in time? |

LOL, I guess those are the only seats I tried! You are correct, free for other seats. Thanks for correcting me ^

Bulkheads are released for free at OLCI, exit-row seats could only be taken at the airport for free.

I guess TK can still bump you to another seat if there's a baby who needs the bulkhead seat?

A350 J: best seats for a couple are 1EF, 3EF, 5EF, and 7EF. I booked a flight several months from now and I can select any seat in J except the F seats because they are blocked (not being occupied). I called customer service and I was told even on the phone they cannot give me those seats, without being able to tell me why. Does anybody on FT know what is the issue?
