Go for even number window seats.
8A and 8K might be close to the galley and if you would like to maximize sleep on a red-eye, prefer to sit at the front as possible.

Traveling on a 789 in TK J with a kid so I'd like to make sure we're close together. Rows 1,3,5,7 E+F are all taken so unfortunately those aren't choices.

What's best of the remaining options?

2A+3A?
2D+2G?
2A+2D?

Thanks.

Feel like in 777/330 the screen is so far from you in the rear rows. Does TK all have foldable screens for the 1st row?

And what's in the middle of the 5th row in 333? If I choose 5A/B or 5J/K do I have more privacy?

There is no foldable screen for the first row. The screen is mounted on the bulkhead wall.

There is an closest in the middle of row 5, so yea it does have some extra privacy.

How about 789? The screen is also mounted on the bulkhead wall? And I assume the 1st row on 789 has wider leg space (not a leg well like the rear rows have) So it makes sense to choose 1st row on a 789 but not on a 330/77W?

I have 2 different reservations with award ticket. An infant and i are on a ticket, my girlfriend is on another. I can only reserve seats at window, while she can reserve all the seats. We would like to reserve the central seats in the middle of 787 so we csn stay together. Do i have to write to customer service or it’s not possible for an infant to stay in the middle?

Can anyone answer this simple question? 1st row on 789 is desirable or not? I guess the main issues are leg rooms and screen distance.

Booked turkish using united points

Hi,
I used united miles to book tickets on Turkish airlines. Now I'm unable to select seats on the flight. The reservation number I got 2 separate PNRs. I'm unable to pull the reservation on TA website, but i was able to pull it in the app. Looks like TA charges seat fee. When I contacted over the phone, they can't assign seats (my card was keep declining, same experience on the app as well).

When I reached TA through twitter they are asking about a ticket number starts with 235. But no such ticket number available for me. The ticket number I have with me starts with 016. Any one know how to select seats for Turkish Airlines tickets booked in united website.

Is there a galley/lavs behind row 7 on the 77w ?
Seatguru says no, but I do not trust them for TK. Will be an overnight flight so sleep will be a priority.

No galleys or lavatories behind row 7, only a wall that divides Business and Economy but be aware that row 11 ( first row of Economy ) is a bassinet row thus there might be a crying infant behind the wall which might be crying throughout the flight.

We have 3 in economy for flight from DFW-IST. seat selection is available with $39 per person. Else seats will be assigned randomly 6 hours before the flight? any idea on how this works? Cant tell how full the flight is since not many people have paid to select seats yet.

We did Row 1 on the 787 and liked it much better than Row 2, more leg room bigger cubby hole for feet. On return we were in row 2 and missed the foot room. The noise didn’t seem different.

I'm taking my first TK 789 flight in a week and chose 2A because 1A looked quite exposed to the aisle; assuming you were referring to the window section and not the centre section, do you think the footwell difference between 1A and 2A is enough to make up for the privacy difference?

(slightly off topic) Flying JKF-IST-TIR on Wed/Thurs, and the IST-TIR shows up as "There is no suitable selection for the flight" while trying to pick seat. Looks like its overbooked, what are the odds I wont get bumped as a ELPL?
