Well, I don't think it's a scam, more so just TK horrible IT issues.

Great news - I got a Feedback Form response email today from TK resolving my issue. They re-arranged the seats to be together on both flights. The email said that the mix-up happened because of an aircraft change. For those running into similar issues with TK, the Feedback Form ( a bit of a misnomer, since it's not really feedback but conveying an ongoing issue) is your best bet for resolution. You get a case number once you send the form and you can track it with that number. Cold-calling customer service doesn't seem to go anywhere.

I should have known this sounded too good to be true. Our seats on the return flight disappeared again when I checked later today. The total amount charged on the itinerary also mysteriously changed. The saga continues...

Another thing that I find difficult to understand is that you can't just change seat selections manually. I'm used to other airlines where you can change the seat freely, but with TK, nope! |

Are there are misaligned window seats to be aware of on the A333? I have a similar question, I have a booking in November, on TK1587 (isn't it weird that it's a 4 digit flight number?) IST-FRA. It says A330-300 but when I try to select my seat, there are 7 rows of 2-2-2 but row 7 only has AB and DE. I looked at all the available seat maps and they all show only 5 rows in J for the A333.... Choose your seat during OLCI. There will be window seats to choose from. Really not an issue and nothing to waste time on now. |

I apologise if this has already been covered , but I'm struggling to find it.
I recently booked an economy Mileage Plus award ticket (X class) from IST to ATH on TK. When I try to manage the booking (on TK website or app), I note that my MP# (I'm Platinum) is not present, and there is no way for me to enter it. Thus, it would appear that TK is unaware of my status and hence won't let me select a seat or have any checked bags without paying. Is this normal for TK, and how can I fix the problem? Would calling TK help? Advice would be appreciated. |

I have a ticket purchased from United from SFO - AMS - IST in business class. AMS - IST is operated by Turkish. I have the TK confirmation number and I am able to look up the reservation on their website, but I am unable to pick a seat. I called TK and they are able to see the ticket as well too, but their computer is unable to choose a seat for me. The agent says because it is a UA flight number even though it is operated by TK. I called United and asked for help and they were not able to do anything. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

If that doesn't work, your best bet would be to fill out a Feedback Form on the TK website indicating which seats you wish to seat at so the back office could assign you seats. |
