Flying ARN-IST next week in Business. Flight is currently shown as an A320 and in normal cases it's just the regular blocked middle seat. Do TK by any chance have A320s with 2-2 configuration in Business? I recall them having some 2nd hand aircraft acquired from Kingfisher. Also what are the chances for a last minute equipment swap to an A321?

Question...

Can anyone point me to the post where someone had worked out a way to know whether you'll get a regular Business Class (2x2) rather than an old Business Class (middle seat blocked), by a) number of rows in Business and b) number of rows in economy (738, 739, 321 and 322)

I've looked everywhere but can't seem to find it?

Thanks.

If it's four rows in Business on the B738/B739 and A321 then that means the aircraft will have proper recliner seats in Business. If the seat map shows three rows then it's the regular 3-3 config.

Thanks - How about 5 rows on a A320? (32N as indicated on EF)

Hmm then it should be the regular 3-3 configuration. Also I'm not too sure if there are any A320s with the proper seating.

You would think out of LHR on the 22:30 they'd put on an aircraft with New 'J'. Really a little shocking!

They do have some new aircraft's with 2-2 configuration in C, used relatively often on IST-CPH/ARN/OSL. Really nice medium-haul C seats it is indeed, much, much better than the old standard seats.

Seven rows of Business Class 2-3-2, no Comfort Class.

The space between doors 2 and 3 will be occupied by rows 5-7 of Business Class and the rest is Y.
Just made my seat reservation for IAH-IST on 7/29 and it is showing up as a A343

Does anyone know the business class seating on the EDI - IST flight? I know it is a 738 but it is normally the new seating or the old seating or a mixture?

IAH-IST shows the plane type 77B with 7 rows in C.

Seat Guru doesn't have the map for this type. Is that a new plane/seating setting?

True it is a new aircraft that is not in the fleet of TK yet.
This new 777 will enter the fleet in July with another 3 to come shortly after.
TK will offer 49 J seats to IAH then.

Current Y+ will go from that route by then.

I've flown this leg twice, in Y, and I think it was the plane with the C-seat once and the version with the Y-seats with the middle seat blocked; the other time.

How much more would you be willing pay to do A330/777 LHR or AMS to IST vs 738/739 LGW to IST? I am trying to work out if the £150 (round-trip) fare difference is worth paying...

As an FTer I might go for that ;-) I assume you are talking about J class trip. I wouldn't bother at all about Y.

Clear mind says no way. £150 is good dinner for 2.

Differences from A340 (business class) to 777 (business class) ?

What are the main differences from the TK A340 Business Class to the TK 777 Business Class (V2 configuration , with Y+) ?

I heard the seats are quite different and the A340 are really old and not so comfortable.

Thanks.
