It can be changed online, once you login into GOES, you go to update documents and from there you can change your Passport number and expiry date

Also visit the NEXUS office, my impression was that CBSA required the office visit.

I had just updated my passport the other day. CBSA said that I could use NEXUS to enter Canada, and that all I would have to do is proceed to the enrolment office to update my number. You should not expect to do this if you are entering/returning to America.

On a side note, a few days after doing this, I went from YUL>LGA on AA. Made it through customs inspection. Then, lost my card somewhere between the gate and the plane. So annoyed with myself cos now I have to make another trip to Canada to get the card replaced. :(

Does anyone know if you can use Nexus for a land crossing while your passport is being renewed? Mine has less than 5 months validity on it and I need to travel to the US in a couple weeks but likely to the UK at the beginning of September.

I was at the passport office a week ago and a. the line was two hours long, and they said they were four weeks to process currently, so I left.

I can courier mine in for renewal but need to time it. If I can use Nexus while it's under renewal I can send it in now, go to the US next week, and have it fixed up in time for the trip to the UK.

I asked that very question at Blaine last October, and in fact did that very thing. (For the same reason.)

I mailed my passport application from Montréal four weeks ago and had it couriered to me in the US in 8 calendar days. I did not ask for expedited service.

Huh? Updated in GOES and carried on traveling with no issues.

At ORD you must show the sticker when leaving the customs hall. I have the sticker so do not know what the effect of this would be if I didn't. I enter through ORD T5 regularly and despite what others have experienced, I have never not been asked to show the sticker.

CBSA said that at the airport as I recently posted. GOES updates the GE after you are initially enrolled. While you are at the airport get your sticker.

That's been my impression as well (and I have asked a couple of times) - US says to just make the change on GOES, while the Canadians want you to bring it to a Nexus office (and they do take a copy, at least IME). I do both.

I recently got a new passport and updated the information in GOES. I then called the NEXUS office I did my interview at and told them I updated the information in GOES and asked if there was anything else I needed to do, and they said I was good to go.

Just entered Canada on NEXUS a few days ago too with no issues.

Uh-Oh, now I have to try and remember my GOES password, lol.

Was told at LAX CBP office that an appointment is necessary to check if my NEXUS account had fingerprints on file so Global Entry could be used. Would take up to 20 mins to complete and have to come back another day after calling in to schedule.

Didn't seem like the most helpful/friendly.
