I find the cited instructions don't indicate at all that one should add all citizenships. On the contrary, the instructions seem to address only items that can be used to enter the US.

Under both "Dual Citizen (not including U.S.)" and "Dual Citizen (including United States)" the last line under "Proof of Other Citizenship" says "Your Canadian passport, visa or border crossing card is the only document that should appear in this section " S:eek: it seems to me that the only thing that CBP really cares about are documents that can be used to enter the US regardless of how many citizenships one has or what they are.

+1

I don't interpret that page requiring US citizens to list additional citizenships. You can but no requirement. What if my other passport has expired or one never obtained a passport to begin with (eg citizenship automatically conferred thru ancestry)?

Sorry, I'm not seeing it. Can you please quote the language that you believe "specifically says that you should add additional citizenships"?

We're all reading the same page right?

Citizenship Change

If you need to change, update, or add a citizenship, you must go to an Enrollment Center. Please be sure to bring supporting documentation with you.

So that should at least settle the question for the "OP" above.

As far as being able to provide "proof" of anything, there's not much you can do without submitting an actual application, which I won't be doing for another 5 years. There's no documentation that you need to provide your address or employment history in the FAQs either, so I guess that means that you don't need to do that either. Guess I'm just a chump.

Thanks. That says how to do it, not that you are required to do it.

Lol ask me in five years.

Question about application denial if documents aren’t submitted in time

So I had my nexus interview last week(I’m in Canada, interviewed in US). When they asked me if I had ever been arrested I was honest and said yes when I was 18 for marijuana possession but it was discharged. They asked me to acquire paperwork from the court within 30 days to complete my application. My criminal record is clean because it was 13 years ago and I didn’t enter the US before it came off my record. The problem is I’m not going to be able to get to the documents within 30 days, and I leave for a Cruise from florida at the end of February. If I let my application get rejected because expiry, will they give me a hard time about it when I cross over the border in 3 weeks? I went over this weekend for dinner with my passport and they didn’t say anything about it. Thanks

UA Chase card now does not appear to reimburse for GE, nor does UA at least for Plat.
However, I believe my IHG Chase card does.
Unfortunately, had already paid for NEXUS renewal, which is in extreme limbo.

What gives you that impression? Relevant web pages show that the Explorer, Quest, and Club cards all cover the fee for either PreCheck, GE, or NEXUS once every four years.

landrew Feb 8, 2023 8:05 pm

Sorry, my bad. I have US Pres Plus MC, but while worrying about a truly perplexing NEXUS revocation following conditional approval, looked at UA to see if Global Entry might be possible alternative. At the time it appeared to me that for UA Elites, CLEAR was somehow being offered at a reduced rate but GE/NEXUS was not even mentioned. I may have assumed that the CHASE benefit had been eliminated, but noted elsewhere that two of my other cards do cover it.
Glad you linked to relevant currently available cards.

Interview completed at the Champlain Enrolment Center Feb 21 2023. Approved 15 minutes later.

Canadian PR. Was in US for 7 years on nonimmigrant visas. Had an active GE membership.

Do you know if you will get TSA Precheck? I understand once we get approval for Nexus, our Global entry will remain but without TSA Precheck.

Thanks

Once you activate your NEXUS card, your Global Entry will be de-activated. You shall continue to receive TSA PreCheck privilege.

Looks like CBP is not giving me accurate information,

I won't be completing my NEXUS interview as I won't get GE & Precheck as per their latest email, even though their website says otherwise.

I will keep my approved GE as is.

Email from CBP:
"
CBP Information Center
to me

Thank you for contacting the CBP Traveler Communications Center.

Unfortunately, Permanent Residents of Canada do not receive the Global Entry benefit as NEXUS members. Therefore, as a NEXUS permanent resident of Canada member you will not receive Global Entry and TSA PreCheck. "
