Thank you! Kind of surprising, considering an interview was required for my last renewal (which I never did, according to the system, as they forgot to click the button). But I’m not complaining!

Second Renewal
Application Completed/Paid: T+0 Approved: T+2 days Card received: T+7 days Expiration in ~2030 |
My daughter's second renewal.
Three jobs, the first when she was still completing her medical residency which was followed by one year at one hospital and then two at her current hospital. Four addresses, three of which are in the same state and one in another. The renewal application was submitted around noon on Thanksgiving Day. Full approval, no interview required, was received this evening, 30 hours later. |

2nd renewal, 25 countries listed plus a change of address and employment, approved without interview in under 36 hours :tu:

I ignorantly let my GE expire last month. What a headache , I travel next in 12/23. Hopefully not too big an impact domestically as I gave Clear.
1) I applied for renewal (it would be my second).. Does the lapse affect the turnaround time? 2) I forgot an EU country (France, entered via train from London , after Brexit). Is that an issue? 3) if the GE renewal is taking long, is it worth it to apply separately for precheck renewal? I got precheck via GE last time. Would get reimbursed the TSA fee via credit card. Thanks in advance. |

I, as well as my entire family has precheck through GE so never tried applying for each separately. Probably wouldn't have enough cards with the credit to do them separately anyway. |

12/33? That date needs correction.

My experience was similar to the above.
Second renewal Application completed/paid: Nov 21 Approved (without interview): Nov 22 Card received: Nov 27 By far my smoothest application and renewal process to date. Application completed/paid: Dec 7 Said I needed interview, so found availability on Dec 8 at IAD. Very efficient process there, it took 10 minutes and I was approved a few hours after the interview. I actually did this 9 months before it expires (up to a year in advance is allowed) in case I had trouble getting an interview timeslot. Maybe this is a good time of year due to people focusing on the Holidays. |
Lapse didn’t hurt, was approved today (applied 12/11 after 11/5 expiration). No interview (2nd renewal).

Another data point:
Submitted application (2nd renewal) on the evening of 12/23 Received approval 12/24 at 11pm. I did have an address change and two new employers since my last application, but no international travel (thanks Covid!) I also submitted my passport renewal application online last week (normal processing time 4-6 weeks) and received my new passport a week later. There are a few government employees hard at work this month. |
Wife's GE renewal took over a year to renew (surprise renewal card in the mail).
Mine was less than 24 hours. Strange how CBP/TTP works - maybe I should buy a Lotto ticket ? |
Similar vein…my GE expires 2/26, will be cancelling my UA Explorer card in April 2025. Planning to use the card to get the GE extension bill credit prior to April cancel. Will the 5 year extend from GE expiry date of 2/26 or the paid date of 4/25? Thanks!
