- Renewed 03/09/23
- Received Status Change email on 03/11/23, logged in to see Approved Status.
- Finally today, 03/21/23 received new card USPS

Do you have to constantly keep checking the website to see if your status has changed or can you really rely on them to send an email and then you go in and check it out?

I’ve had good luck with receiving emails as soon as my status changed.

I also have received an email as soon as my status changed. Be sure to check your spam folder regularly. Some claim they never received any notice.

My family of four applied for renewal in September -

My wife was approved without interview within one day of application
Child #1 was conditionally approved pending interview within 2 days of application

  • June 2, 2022, got my renewed passport that had expired the day before and applied for GE renewal for myself and my wife (GE not expired, 3 months left)
    • My wife kept benefits for TSA, me not so much
    • Passport renewal I had hoped would have arrived in time, took 4 months
  • March 30, 2023, 3:30 pm EDT got email stating GE renewal approved; went website and no interview needed for myself or my wife
  • 301 Days for that renewal

Go figure

A friend of ours applied for Global Entry. She tried to get an interview at O’Hare Airport in Chicago but it was booked way way out, past 2023. Then on 30 March her daughter applied for her and got an appointment the very next day, March 31. She went there yesterday and I believe she was approved.

I wonder if someone canceled and the timing was very lucky

While searching for an appointment, if you have the time and patience, refresh your browser frequently especially during open hours of your desired enrollment center. In a few days, you will find something more suitable to your schedule.

+1

In addition, every time an applicant uses EoA, any future interview appointment they might have had scheduled automatically gets cancelled - interview timeslots can free up any time due to this.

We are already enrolled and just renewed recently. My wife did not need an appt. but I did. Why I do not know.

In any case I'll keep what you said in mind.

Thank you.

GE Renewal with a 2nd passport

My GE status is not available for renewal until next February and I have a newly updated US Passport. I also have a 2nd passport from a country I lived in during the 1970's. and no longer visit. If I decide not to renew the 2nd country's passport and let it expire, will that affect my GE renewal?

I renewed today, 6 months before expire.

Yes I received an email, it was so fast I didn't even have a chance to begin (obsessively) checking the Dashboard!

Did you get a new GE card in the mail? If so, how long did it take? My renewal was approved last Friday (April 1, 2023), and I no longer have possession of my expired card (CBP officer took it). I frequent Mexico by land, so having a GE card is basically a necessity since average wait time in the regular lanes is 2 hours and 40 minutes. Anyway, I didn't get any notification about a new card being sent in the mail. I was tempted to apply for a replacement card, but I thought I'd check what everyone experienced with their renewal process first.
