Alert if F dropped
Could someone clarify the best way to use EF to be notified if F goes away on a flight? In a thread about redeeming AA miles for CX F, there's discussion about how to know if CX drops F and downgrades you. See this post for two possibilities (seat alert for seat that only exists on plane with no F, or alert for F going to 0, with uncertainty as to how inventory alerts treat the difference between F0 and no F).

Do low fare classes come back if they show 0 now?
So i'm new to expert flyer and fare searching so apologies if this is repetitive.
I'm searching for a fare from SJU to JFK on AA at new years. The lowest economy fare bucket available is K. No lower fare seats show available on M, L classes but I know that it was available a week ago...Is it possible that those lower fare classes will become available and I should wait even though seatexpert say 0 for both? Or is it that there will never be those seat fares available now and I should take the K fare while I can?
Thanks...any help you can provide appreciated.

We’re happy to inform you that United Upgrade searching and alerting (R and ON classes) has been restored in ExpertFlyer.
If you encounter any issues please email us at [email protected] and let us know. We plan on restoring United Award searching next, thank you for your patience.
- The Award & Upgrade search now shows United as an airline with R and ON classes as options. A Quantity must be specified in the search and the results will show if that amount of inventory is available on a flight (Yes or No).
- All future dated Flight Alerts for R, RN or ON classes have been reactivated (R and RN classes have the same inventory and will be treated as the same class).
- All Saved Queries for R, RN or ON will now work again. A Quantity of 1 will be assumed for Saved Queries that did not specify one. The Saved Query can be edited to change the quantity.
If you encounter any issues please email us at [email protected] and let us know. We plan on restoring United Award searching next, thank you for your patience.

Expertflyer Voice, can you tell me precisely how often the "saved flight alerts" are run? Once a day, twice a day or more often? Can you tell me exactly the times your system usually runs the saved flight alerts created by your customers?
I tried to test the frequency the "save flight alerts" are run, for example, I tried to set up an alert for a NZ flight "I" business award seat on NZ101(AKL-SYD) on 9/26, it already had 3 "I" seats available before I set the alert, but after I set the alert for that flight, a notification was sent to my email address only after 22 hours! The 3"I" award seats has been there within the 22 hours and nobody has been taking away the 3 seats, so why the system did not send the email notification much earlier? You know sometimes 22 hours make a lot of difference. I hope you can answer the doubts I have. Thanks!

To answer your question, when you create a Flight Alert for inventory that already exists, the system will notify you in about 60 seconds. We don't share the details of how our system works, but I can tell you that all alerts are checked several times a day at a minimum and more often then that as the date of departure gets closer.
As a double check, I set an alert for NZ/101/I on 9/26 for myself when I started writing this reply. I just checked my Inbox and I now have an email from ExpertFlyer telling me that I inventory is available.

Sorry for not reading 52 pages of this thread.
I'm having an issue with sessions on EF and it started a month or two ago. I use Chrome as my main browser and often when I do searches or even try to login for the first time (after having not been logged in for days) I will get an error that says, "Your previous ExpertFlyer.com session has timed out. Please log in again.". I have to click login again and everything works.
This happens if I'm already logged in, do a search and then attempt to do another search almost right away or if I wait 5 minutes. It also happens if I haven't been logged in for days, as I mentioned.
Why is this happening all of a sudden? I never had this problem in the past.
PS - it would probably be easier to PM me a response because FT doesn't have proper notifications like MP and it took me a while just to find this thread.
