Update available
An update was released today to address several of the issues mentioned above. Unfortunately there's an issue with the automatic upgrades so if you want the latest, you'll have to download the full installer (about 9 MB). You can run the installer over your current installation though to eliminate some large now unused files, we recommend you run the uninstaller and then install it again. It'll only take a couple of minutes and your settings do not get removed during the uninstall.
If you're using MilePort, the full installer is available at:
http://download.deskport.biz/MilePort.exe
If you're using USA Today MileTracker, the full installer is available at:
http://download.deskport.biz/MileTracker.exe
Some of the issues addressed include:
- Can now perform more than one auto-navigation without restarting the application
- Reduced the download size by almost half
- Upgraded some of the underlying technologies for future improvements such as better support for Vista
- Fixed Hilton
- Fixed Starwood
- Fixed Delta auto-navigation
Note that the high percentage CPU use issue when the Blackberry Curve ad is displayed still exists. This is not something we can control. If you find the same ad on a webpage such as at usatoday.com, you'll see that your browser appears to be using a ridiculous amount of CPU as well. What you see in Task Manager appears to be misleading anyway as no other applications seem to become sluggish.
Thanks,
Mike

Thanks, Mike, that is great. I'm very impressed that you've already fixed Starwood, given they only launched their new site yesterday.
I've had a problem with MileTracker in the past week or so that hasn't been resolved. When I retrieve account balances, I get a new page that starts - www.file.com. Sometimes it just hangs on loading, often it brings the page up. Do you have any idea what is causing that?
I'm using USA MileTracker.

Okay, so I was having problems with my Miletracker (downloaded the newest version) running Vista.
After installation, the program would run fine once, and only when installation was complete, the program would ask if I wanted to run it. Fine. After closing the program following installation and attempting to run the program, it would not load. Seemed to me that if I ever wanted to run the program, I would have to reinstall it every time.
Figured it out today that if I run the program as "Administrator," (i.e., right click, "Run as Administrator), it runs fine. Must be another one of those Vista bugs...

With a little detective work one might discover that if one wanted to block this Blackberry Ad they could probably do so by blocking the IP address range from 12.129.192.0 to 12.129.255.255.
One could use their firewall software to do this or any number of software and hardware network control tools.

MileTracker will not update. I get this notice on every acct:
Cannot determine. Please try again later or use Navigate on the right.
This has been going on for over a week. I just went back in and reentered all acct numpers and PWs..same result.
Wassup with this??
