Oh, it's so difficult being a thicko! :confused: I didn't find your example at all instructive. H-HANDICAPPED is self explanatory and I kinda guess that B-BUKH means bulkhead. But there is no legend for C the only letter that appears on a seat. And what do the * and B in the margin mean?

I realise that since they differ by airline it will be impossible to list them all. But a few more clues would be really help us retards. :o

Fares in USD
 

I cant get fares in USD to show up - I've tried clearing my cache and deleting any expedia cookies but no luck - any other solutions?

So far I have never been able to replicate this issue on any of my machines, so I really don't have any way of determining the exact source of the problem... Assuming you're clearing cache/cookies in your Internet Explorer settings (and not in some other browser you may have installed), I really can't think of any other solutions.

The new version, which allows to limit the search to different alliances and more importantly different booking classes, is definitively a major major improvement ^ I liked the 2 tier version better, maybe the 3rd tier will get more benefits in the future (such as R-class on NWA ;) ) . The tool is now even more useful, hopefully more to come.

I just came on to search for exactly the same thing. Last night I could bring everything up in UK-GBP or CAD (for comparison), and this morning all I get is CAD, which also won't bring up fare rules for me (not that I could buy it here). I really don't want to have to delete all the cookies on my entire machine - I actually use some of them! Is it safe to just go into the Cookies folder and delete those that have been updated since last night?

ITN Engine Outage
 

Looks like the ITN engine just went down -- there should soon (if not already) be a thread in the UA forum as this also means that United.com online reservations functionality is also down.

As a Gold/Platinum-tier KVS Tool user, you can switch to the Amadeus:AUA and/or Galieo methods for now, as that functionality of the Tool will not be affected by this ITN outage.

I am now able to get the fare rules up in a browser, seemingly using UK (though I can still only see the Canadian fare, the link is using TCYUK), but the fare rules that come up are not the ones that I asked for. Asking for VFLASH, the LH fare from LHR-DEL, I get WSS2U, the OS fare. Trying random selections gives me randomly different fare rules.

Have you sorted the fares (by clicking on the column headers)?

That seems to be the problem. If I ask for info and don't sort - it works OK (though still only in CAD, not GBP). As soon as I sort (on airline in my case), it goes wrong, even asking for the same fare.

I am aware of the sorting issue, and it will be fixed in the next version. For now, pls don't use the sorting feature with fares.

As for the fares in CAD only problem, pls PM me with the URLs that appear in the browser after you click [View Fare Rules]: There will be 2 URLs: One should appear right after you request fare rules, the 2nd URL will appear about 5 seconds later, so you will have to act fast to capture them both...

Also, are you selecting the currency before you click the [Go] button?

I have been having an issue lately with looking at flight departing the same day. For instance, I just tried looking up flights from SFO-MRY, and it came back with the error response of flight availability for today. However, there are still many flights left for SFO-MRY for today, and this was also all done on the Apollo: ITN/UA search...I haven't tried the others.

My understanding was the tool would gather all flight info and display whether the flight was past schedule, cancelled, or if it's still yet to go, display the availability. This is where the value of the tool is for me (same day lookup). Am I missing something here?
