I downloaded the most recent update of KVS and it doesn't seem to have a way for me to search for AA availability?

The only choices or search Availability by FS or GTC. FS does not support AA and GTC requires credentials? Didn't there used to be a third option. Does KVS no longer support AA availability?

Regular AA Availability is now accessible via the KVS Tool Mobile Companion and the [Availability/GTC] Method.

For information regarding GTC Credentials, please inquire via http://Contact.KVSTool.com/

Award AA Availability continues to be searchable via the [Awards/JL-OneWorld] / [Awards/BA-OneWorld] / [Awards/OneWorld] Methods.

Why are you are comparing Regular Availability with Award Availability?

My question illustrates just how new I am to this and that I really was confused. I thought that the fare codes listed on the Availability tab could in fact be compared to the Award Availability (especially to help determine the number of award seats available). Thanks for taking the time to respond.

The question you asked is not really EK-specific (in the sense of "how do paid fare classes relate to award fare classes"). You're probably better off taking time to researching in the EK forum (or in any of your favorite FFP forums) which fare classes are for awards and which are for paid tickets. Once you get that, EK familiars can probably give you info on likely relationships (ex. if lowest economy fare is 7, then there's probably 5 Y awards available--I'm not familiar with EK, so take this as an example and nothing more).

You can determine the number of Award Seats available via the [Awards] Tab.

The [Availability] Tab is for Regular Availability only, unless indicated otherwise at http://Help.KVSTool.com/#Classes

KVS Tool continues to support AA Award (but not Upgrade) Availability:

http://Help.KVSTool.com/#AA

There have not been any changes in that regard.

Awards JL/OneWorld Not Working

For about the last 2 weeks this search engine would give a Data Source Error [RD3] Date Out of Range for any search more than 324 days out, vs. 330 days for all other search methods. Now this error is being displayed for any search, even next week. I am using KVS 7.4.5.R1 and I have cleared the cache and cookies in MSIE.

Could you please provide a specific city pair/date example?

Why is ETR Availability not searching anymore? Searching for particular fare classes used to be among the most valuable features of the tool. Any help?

The [Availability/ETR] Engine was recently de-commissioned.

You can now use the [Availability/FS] Method, which shows Availability across all Booking Classes at once, and set the [Filter] options to show only particular Class(es), if so desired.
