The first time I do an Amadeus: Awards/M&M query after starting KVS, I get a dialog saying:

Data Source Error [L1]:
"Please log in or enroll as a new member"

However, if I try the query again, it works fine. I have a true M&M account that even has miles in it, so it's not an issue of a temporary account. Logging into the M&M website works fie as well. Problem returns every time I restart KVS

Please try clearing MSIE Cookies and restarting the KVS Tool.

If the issue persists, then it must be something specific to your M&M account as we have not been able to reproduce this behavior.

And just as suddenly as the error appeared, it has disappeared, without me doing anything

KVS any ideas why the tool is showing seats that BA.com is not.

Check out 8-9th April from NCL to LHR and KVS shows seats which BA.com does not.

Its using my log in so where is it seeing seats available from?

You should be able to book them as Business Class seats.

BA.com only gives option for Economy. AA also can't see those seats. I will try and call it in tomorrow to Exec club. See if they can grab one. Thanks.

3 AA and 3 BA agents have confirmed that domestic can only be booked under Economy inventory. The Business class availability can not be used on a award.

I think the Business is showing phantom availability. You might wanna get that checked out.

We have verified, and BA is definitely returning positive C Award Availability on those flights, both for its own EC members and its OneWorld partners.

Phantom? I wonder if it requires a manual sell?

Yes, possibly.

Is there a free trial that I can use?

I loaded the software but it asks me to pay for a membership.

Hi KVS,

I am on the latest level 7.1.8. Searching [Awards/EY] and getting this error:

Data Source Error[R]:

"Invalid Input Parameters/Engine Error"

Please advise.

If you're a frequent traveler, pay for Diamond membership. It's worth it and you won't regret.

You may wish to consider one of the 2-month membership options, which are the shortest available: http://Join.KVSTool.com/

Is there a wildcard or some other way to show all flights at a specific airport, regardless of destination or orgination?

I want to be able to identify surges in demand for ground transportation.

You can get a list of all departing/arriving flights for a specific airport via the [Timetable] -> [Departures/Arrivals] Method.

Too good . We should all be aware in our use of new tool and how much beneficial it will be. I only use it for upgrades. Using it just to check loads. I don’t think this is going to affect any element.

What's the flight #/date/# of seats?

bkafrick Apr 11, 2013 8:06 pm

On the basic flight search... if I use the "default time" using Sabre, what is the time frame that it searches relative to the current time.

i.e. I searched PHL to AVP for today at noon, and it didnt show me the flight at 8:36pm or 10:30pm... is it 6 hours in the future the default?

The [FS] Engine can, sometimes, be a bit 'quirky' when the Default Time setting is used.

Using tomorrow's date, all flights are displayed:

KVS, Awards/EY is broken again.

Seeing either:
  • "405 - HTTP verb used to access this page is not allowed." OR
  • "System"

I am new to KVS and bought a Diamond subscription. Is there a site with a good tutorial on how to use KVS to it's full capabilities? I know it's a highly valued tool, but how can I get the most out of it?

Thanks in advanced!!

I think for economy awards on EK, there's class N for awards booked with Skywards and class X for awards booked by partner airlines. Most likely the tool shows the latter?

Yes, however there is a possibility that EK may be changing its Y Award Booking Classes as a part of the recently-launched QF-EK FFP partnership.
