What does the number after the class letter mean (for example, what is the difference between X5 and X4, etc.) .

Thanks for use of the program ^

It means the # of seats that the airline is willing to sell in that class at that moment.

I'm sorry for another question (please bear with me :o )

So, if your tool returns "F9 A9 O1 C9 D9 Z9 I0 R0 Y9 B9 M9 H9 X0 Q9 N9 V9 W0 S0" does it mean that X class is all sold out or does it mean that I just can't book X right now (maybe later it would work?)?

It can mean any of those things...

THANKS KVS and BlondeBomber. I'm slowing getting up to speed (with the generous help of people like you)!

I need to use the AUA/*A option to view LH inventory and it never loads. My install is clean, only 4 or 5 days old. The other options work just fine but don't give LH award codes :( Any ideas? It is version 1.3.5

Try clicking on http://book3.aua.com and see if that page loads OK, then try using the Tool again...

The http://book3.aua.com works fine but the KVS tool still won't display any availability when I use the AUA/*A option. FYI whenever I submit something using the AUA/*A option my CPU usage rate shoots up to 100% although the program itself is not freezing up.

Take a browse through this thread -- I beleive someone had a similar issue before and it was caused by a conflict with Norton AV/Internet Security or some other similar software...

I just did a random search with AUA/*A and yes CPU did spike for about 5-10 sec while it was working ... but then it came back ...how long do you wait for it to return? I can try your search if you provide details to see if it happens here too.

On a broadband connection, you should see complete results in about 10 seconds. Did you try disabling any Anti-Virus/Pop-Up Blockers/"Privacy"/Personal Firewall and similar software? What exactly does it say on the big Go button after "Stop"?

MapleLeaf Feb 16, 2005 11:34 am

With my anti-virus disabled, pop-up blocker off still no response. I have waited as long as 2 minutes and nothing - just shoots up to 100% of my processing time being used, 99% by KVS and sits there. As a test I have just put in YYZ-YUL for a random date in August.

What I actually want to find is a couple of seats on LH from YYZ to IST, returning via MUC (flexible on dates in late July through to end of August).

FYI I just passed 4 minutes of waiting with no response. On the Go Button it says Stop [.]

Oh yeah, I am on broadband (rogers extreme).

"Stop [.]" means that it is trying to connect to the server, but is unable to... Are you using the latest version (1.3.5)? Did you try re-installing it? Is this only happening with the AUA/*A method or all 3 of the methods? Can you open http://book3.aua.com/ in Internet Explorer?

MapleLeaf Feb 16, 2005 2:15 pm

I am using 1.3.5 and just re-installed it, no difference. Yes I can open the page in IE without difficulty. All the other methods work fine, except for Gallileo which asks for a password

Any other ideas?

FYI I am running a Laptop with an AMD 3000+ processor, 512 MB of Ram, Windows XP Pro, SP1

You may have something else installed on your system (that you may not even be aware of) that is preventing the tool from accessing the AUA servers...
