Seat Maps: we're currently not able to show seat maps for flights departing within the next 24 hours for several airlines: DL, BA, QR , ANA, B6, & JL
Searches currently not working:
  • Upgrades - AY, BA, EK, EY, IB, QR, VS
  • Awards - AY, BA, IB, EY, QR, VS

To search AA upgrades:
  • Use the Award & Upgrade tool
  • Only search for individual segments (set the "Connection Preference" drop-down to "Direct/Non-Stop only"). Flight results that are part of a connection won't show the upgrade version of C or A inventory because AA only files upgrade inventory as individual, not married, segments. (Married segments show revenue inventory instead of upgrade inventory.)
  • To avoid confusion, check the "Exclude Codeshares" box, as AA awards and upgrades are not valid on codeshares.

Are there any coupons for renewals of ExpertFlyer?
I find that I use it a lot when planning trips, but that is onlyonce in a while and it is a midway between paying monthly for it and paying for unlimited access

I don't immediately understand why you'd have any difficulty with paying $9.99 per month for unlimited (premium) access, but only in the months that you do want to use it.

Is there some documentation for how to interpret the detailed flight status?

For AS11 departing on 9/13, I see this:

Code:
SCHEDULE ACTUAL DELAY/CANCEL ARRIVAL
CITY ARRV DEPT ARRV DEPT CODES GATE
EWR2 ORIG 520P 721P 0L/0M
SEA 835P TERM

0L - LATE ARRIVAL
0M - MECHANICAL

3EWR/ETD0730P 2.10L DUE RAMP SERVICE *1820
4EWR/OUT0721P 2.01L OFF0754P *1855
2SEA/ETA1024P 1.49L CREW CALLED IN *1929
It changed a few times while things on the ground happened:
Code:
0L - LATE ARRIVAL
0M - MECHANICAL
4EWR/OUT0604P 0.44L *1704
2EWR/IN 0648P *1748
3EWR/ETD0705P 1.45L DUE CUSTOMER SERVICE *1749
2SEA/ETA1008P 1.33L *1749
Code:
0L - LATE ARRIVAL
0M - MECHANICAL
3EWR/ETD0550P 0.30L DUE MECHANICAL *1640
4EWR/OUT0604P 0.44L *1704
2SEA/ETA0853P 0.18L *1640
The flight had a delay pushing back, was taxiing and then had to return to the gate, then left again.

EF seems to be off but is redirecting to <redacted by moderator> - is it a legitimate one?

Behaving normally for me. If the above mentioned behavior continues for you, check your set up. Check for malware, change DNS server, delete cookies, try different browser, etc.

Also, for faster attention, email expertflyer team.

Anyway, I would not provide any login credentials at the suspect site.

EF's web pages include the statement that EF is "powered by" Gavant Software. It's silly wording but not unusual these days. The Gavant site features EF as an example of the firm's work, here. So I'm confident that EF will say you have nothing to worry about.

While pushing an update today one of our developers accidentally uploaded an incorrect file which redirected the site to a non-production testing environment, it was fixed and the site is working normally again.

There are currently issues with

1) default travel date (which is current date of course but the calendar opens April 2015)

2) display of one way fares with certain airlines, BA is an example. The fares exist but are not shown when a query if for a specific airline fares.

We are not seeing either of those issues, so please email us with specifics on how to reproduce with screen shots if possible, thanks.

I can confirm that the calendar plays crazy on the EF site. I am using Firefox and have already cancelled the EF cookies.

Standard date if you open the calendar:

Then changing the dates:

EF is showing correct output, then I'm refining my search:

EF mixes form of dates. Departure = MM/DD/YY, return = DD/MM/YY. My settings were DD/MM/YY.

Then performing a new search with the given dates and the output are fares on 11/01/17:

Fares for JAN 2017 should not been loaded yet...
It's possible to reproduce this mistake.

I would suggest to look at how you have the date format set for your account. It can be mm/dd/yy or dd/mm/yy. Based on what you show in your post, this might be the source of what you are experiencing.

Go to My Account > Preferences > Date Format.

The dates were mixed up, if you push the "refine button". EF shows then this result as already described above.

This seems to be working properly now, can you still reproduce the issue? If so please email us an example, but make sure you clear your browser cache first just in case.

Bumping this thread, it looks like I've been paying $10 a month with no results so far

Would anyone know?

Thanks,
Geoff

EF is showing ghost upgrade availability on MIA-GRU.

Seeing C7 (on AA) but EXP agent can't see anything in AA system.. Couldn't find C availability on aa.com as well.
