I have been held up at the gate several times as the 1st agent wanted the results issued 72 hours before the actual flight to Thailand (Not the first flight of the itinerary).
It eventually gets sorted out as either a more senior agent and/or a helpdesk gets involved, but stressful every time.

Just a short update, I got my day 5 test done on day 4 Hotel insisted that because my booking started one day before arrival (change of flight) my 5th day counted since start of booking, not arrival.

Anyway, all clear now regarding test & go.

Is this correct? I remember from my application that the test hast to be done less than 72 hours - not the results. At least that's what Finnair gate agent was checking, I had 1 minute spare (71:59) and my test was done in different timezone so it took a while to do the math 😁

After 4 days of waiting I just got this email:Your hotel has rejected your registration in the Thailand Pass system due to incomplete / non-compliance documents. Please contact your hotel directly for more information.
Your Hotel(s):
  • Conrad Bangkok Rejected, Hotel does not response your booking within 30 hours. Please contact your hotel., ,
  • Six Senses Yao Noi Rejected, Hotel does not response your booking within 30 hours. Please contact your hotel., Appointment not found
First, why does it take 4 days to say they didn't respond within 30 hours? Second, if a hotel like the Six Senses (who charge 12500 THB for private transfer thanks to test and go) can't sort it, how are other hotels doing it?

Did you send over your documents to the hotel to verify?

The exact wording from Timatic is:

Passengers entering Thailand must have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result issued at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. The test result must be in English or Thai.

To be safe, I would get the test sample done within 72 hours if possible.

I just went through the entire process and am in BKK now. As far as SHA+ hotels go, the one I chose is really good. Its quaint, has breakfast, they communicated really well, and it looks like its been newly remodeled. Its called the Clover Asoke.

The only thing I would do different is probably move after my first night since all the other travelers are coming here before being tested and I think Im on the same floor as them. Im only here for three nights, so I just booked all three nights here. But the stay so far has been great.

As far as documentation, make sure you print everything. Immigration wanted a printed copy of my Thai and go pass QR, as well as my boarding pass, a negative covid document they give you on the plane. I printed everything in Doha just to make it easier. I had printed the Test and Go QR code, Insurance, negative PCR test, and hotel confirmation.

Make sure you know and ask what zone you need to meet your hotel at when you disembark in Thailand at the arrivals hall as they arent using signs with anyones names on them.

This. Before submitting a test and go application, contact your SHA+ hotel and ask them where and what they want you to send. Theyll usually collect $100, and want some documentation for the test and go scheme.

I got my Thai Pass within 24 hours after submitting the docs. The biggest issue was the hotels and the PCR Test and the complications of finding the rates online. With the earlier test and go the rates for the Sha plus was published on a lot of hotel and the OTA sites.

Just go to orbitz or wherever and see the SHA+ hotels, then contact the hotel. That was the easiest part for me.

Is that cheaper than using the asq.in.th website?

zone?
it seemed all to be cramped between door 9 and 10...better just ask around and they will tell you where to find the agent of your hotel

I did, but didn't add the receipt for the PCR test. Resubmited it and 20 hours later the hotel is saying they can't see it in the system. Does it not go first to the hotel?

Recommended several times here that you reserve and purchase T&G rez directly with the hotel and not through any third party web site.

That said, use whatever sites you want to research prices.

Rejected for the second time even though it hasn't even been 30 hours.. This is turning into a full time job.. Seems like Conrad Bangkok didn't book the PCR test
