Hopefully the new plan sticks...

I am flying on TG462 (the 12:30am MEL departure) in December. I'd been booked in seats 11E/F on the old 777 seat map, and it looks like I've been rebooked into 16E/F on the 359 according to Checkmytrip.com (TG.com isn't showing seat details).

Anyone know if Checkmytrip is accurate for TG seat assignments?

Interestingly, Expertflyer suggests that 11E/F and 14E/F are blocked for whatever reason. I'm fine with 16E/F but just want to make sure we get one of the pairs.

Same with me. I'm flying TG466 in December - we were set for 14A/B and now on the 359 we have been put in 16E/F according to CheckMyTrip. TG website shows only 16E for myself on the way to BKK, nothing for my wife. And on the return trip TG website shows neither of us having seats.

I found another thread on this issue on the TG forum and it looks like the TG mobile app may be the best workaround at the moment -- my seat assignments there match what is on CheckMyTrip so I will assume that I am okay for now.

Trying the mobile app, but it doesn't go into my booking; just sits there trying to load it after I enter my details. Not having much luck with TG lately

Just for your information - the second A350 (HS-THC) is now ready for flight testing. First test flight scheduled for 7th September and delivery for 28th September. Some movement around TLS airport can already be seen on FlightRadar24 using F-WZGW test rego.

THAI delays A350 flights to Melbourne

Thai Airways International will delay the launch of its planned Airbus A350 flights to Melbourne, originally planned for Sept 16.
The airline said the service could be deferred to the end of October if the approval process is completed before the start of the winter schedule.

Sigh ... I thought my early December trip was safe but it's increasingly uncertain! Hopefully these inspections are an aircraft type issue, rather than a per-aircraft issue, so that once the inspections are done, the second A350 will quickly be able to join the MEL route as well.

Dear all,

I was onboard the delivery flight from Toulouse and it was a nice experience albeit not 100% representative with the special catering and the light load:

Hope you like it and if you have any question, please let me know

Bugger. I'm flying MEL-BKK on the 22nd. Thankfully it is a daytime flight, so I can live without the flat bed.

Just checked my booking - still showing A350.

Why blame TG when Australian authority asked them to delays it?
