I just got TG“ed to old F and moved from 1K to 2F. Called Thai cause Experflyer shows F4 seats available, but all is blocked. Gotta say it“s always interesting to hear what explainations they have: "maybe bassinet". Me: "On all 4 seats?" TG: "Oh, maybe a lot of disabled people also"....so...blocked until check-in. Great system...hope I“m not TG“ed again into new F and downgraded

doing a dummy booking, on the 12th it is a "Boeing 747 All Series" indicating that it is the new F. on the 13th it is a "Boeing 747-400" indicating that it is the old F. so probably very random, i got the new F on a recent trip.

i would guess the probability that you get new configuration is 66.6% as currently TG is running 6 planes of 747 with new configuration and 3 with old configuration.
Actually I would be happy to get old F on this route as I am used to angle flat seats on this route for over 10 years!

I asked crew and they told me that no F tickets were sold, but crew would not allow me as TG*G to sit in the F cabin (with C service). On a mid-flight walk around I spotted somone occupying 01A - could be a TIP from C... or some other explanation.

I flew ICN-BKK last week on 8th. The 744 was old F.

This thread used to be a sticky, but since 747 are getting less and less popular, it isn't anymore. If any admins think it should be a wiky, I could create it though.
