Hmmmmmm my SYD-BKK in early December shows the same seating plan now, this is the old "no-suite" config right?
Thinking I might as well do Air China instead, flying Business in their 787 900 ought to have better "hard product" than this "dinosaur".

yes that is the non suite configuration; still full flat; turned into a convenient bed for sleeping and certainly better for conversations (you are talking about us or are you talking in pluralis majestatis about yourself?); there are always pro's and con's
I actually prefer this configuration on a day flight!

Really? I think you'll find First class on TG a step above any business class product on Air China. Both the hard product (they are individual 180 degree flat beds) and the soft product will be far superior.

Seriously. CA 789 has B/E Diamond seat in a 2x2x2 configuration. Same as Continental/UA have been using since like 2008. Hardly a state of the art product.

And enjoy that PEK connection!

You can look at the seatmap when booking before the payment stage. 9F = planned new F suites.

But with TG you really don't know until you show up at the gate.

KIX from November will be 747. Looks like it'll be the new 9 seat?
