Maybe you could turn the 1st post into a Wiki instead? That way it would be at the top of each page and easily editable.

thanks JamesBond

surprise that now also 3 birds of the second best configuration are retired.
once the 747 are gone, only 6 A380 remain with F to very few destinations

I heard that THAI 787-9 will come with F class but I could be wrong.

Hi all,
Will the 747 J ever going to get lie flat seat upgrade from the current angle flat ?
I will go BKK-SYD in early 2018 and hope they will either upgrade the seats or switch to 777 / 380 / 350 that have new J seat.

I do not think that will happen as they had already plans to retire all and they just Keep if for the time being

your best chance is to upgrade yourself to F

It may be a good thing,
I just got TG-ed twice in a month from the old F to the new F.

Route is BKK-BOM-BKK.
Each time a pleasant surprise.

To make the deal even sweeter, TG doesn't sell F to BOM. I buy J and pick my seats in the nose cabin

In these cases, avoid the middle F seats as inevitably someone will get kicked out of the F cabin in case of TG-up

it`s only 2 E/F that some one will be kicked out and only if all F seats taken...and then it is probably more according to Status then seat reserved
