We didn't have transit security to deal with If we did I would have made quick work of though.

I've pounded water before hitting security and I wonder what they would say if you popped open a bottle and starting swilling bubbly.

Just got off TG 920. Was seated in Y on the upper deck. Had seat 80K, which is an exit row seat. This row does not have a window, but if you lean back you can kind of see out the one behind you. It also has no storage bin but with the added legroom for the 11 hour journey it was fine by me. The wifi signal does show up but won't let you connect. I talked to one of the cabin crew and he said that it will be available soon pending approval and didn't have anything else to say about it. It was such a smooth flight and the service was excellent. Smooth as silk!

Can someone kindly run the availability for TG 920 on 23 and 24 December? Expertflyer shows a fairly empty cabin in Y but I know that can't be right (and should not be relied upon anyway)!

The 24th looks to be more crowded but still rather empty.

Thanks! Looks a fairly light load. Wonder if they'll open the upper deck Y at all?

A family member of mine is coming next month to see me.

Since months I monitor the Y-fares FRA-BKK-CNX v.v. Until November over 1100 euros. In November the price dropped to 8xx euros and now further down to 7xx euros.

Looks like TG really has a problem to fill this big bird.

Maybe the question is:

Do they open the main deck?

I haven't followed TGs 380, so forgive a rather basic question.

Are they releasing any F award space on the 380? I am currently on the late TG flight out of FRA (leased 777), but would much rather avoid a lengthy FRA layover and move to the earlier 380 flight....

there is award availability on the A380 in F. I booked mine no problems 5 months in advance. TG usually releases more inventory on a regular basis (right up until the last minute) - keep checking!

OK thanks. I will keep checking.

Appears to be just 2 seats left on the date in question, so not holding my breath....but good to know they have not just blocked out all redemptions. ^

there is still hope. my parents were on a flight recently (awards) bkk to fra, the flight was sold out. two seats in f opened a day before departure. not only were those seats available for purchase, but also appeared in award inventory! this was on the 747, they might have restrictions in place on the a380, but there can be last minute availability.
