Time is runing against LX, HB-JMK is not even out of service yet how can they get the seats installed in less than a week on that aircraft?

On another note how is LX planing the refit of the A343's, as of now, one aircraft per month?

I think I missed something about the schedule. Is there any chance BOS will get this by July 21st? Thanks.

I swear that I saw a different version last night. Actually I was quite surprised to find only the new version when the first re-fitted a/c hasn't even gone into service and most A343s will continue to have the old C cabin. SWISS must have realised the mistake and withdrawn the new seatmap. :D

I double-checked that I wasn't looking at a seatmap of A333 but it was clearly different from the latter as the First Class cabin on the new seatmap was exactly the same as the existing A343 F cabin, i.e. without the cubicle partitions you see on the A333 seatmap.

The only difference in the C cabin I noticed between A343 and A333 was that window seats and middle seats in the same row seemed to be more staggered on A343. 14DG on A343 are placed a lot more forward than 14AB compared with 14DG on A333. Looking at the new seatmap on expertflyer seems to back my recollection as A343 will have 15DG (but not 15AB or 15K) which are not present on A333. Also the first row of the Y cabin will be 23 and unlike A333 there will be no 22DFG.

I can confirm there was a different seatmap shown yesterday (with new C layout). I'm with Mrs. Black_V6 scheduled to SFO on June 3rd. Was able to get ugrades to C (burning e-vouchers) and wanted to choose seats. But this didn't work either.
Looking forward for the trip in HB-JMJ.

According to expertflyer LX38 on 3 June shows the existing C cabin layout, while LX38 on 2 June and 4 June shows the new layout. :(

Just checked our flight back (LX 39) on June 24th, looks like we will miss the new cabin again :mad:

Both SFO-ZRH and ZRH-SFO have new layout on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays until July 3rd. That's the last day with old layout. From July 4th it is new layout only on this route.

The new seatmap of A343 is back again on swiss.com. Here's a screen grab in case it disappears again! ;)

Which are the best seats to choose?

i would definitely try to get seats in the smaller, two-row cabin in the front.

5AB if you want to sit by the window, otherwise 4DG or 5DG.

Not sure how accurate the scale of this seatmap is but the small forward business cabin would appear to have much greater pitch than the rear cabin ?

swiss.com now has the old version of the A343 seatmap as well.

Assuming that they did not move the partition between the F and C cabins and the doors and the toilets between the small and main C cabins, it is entirely possible that the forward cabin has mch greater pitch than the rear cabin where there are 8/9 rows of seats instead of 6! (Though behind the rear C cabin there are 5 rows of Y seats instead of 6 rows as previously.)
