Cornerbank did the same crap a few months ago (increasing surcharge from 0.9% to 1.2% as well..)
So basically, if you get DCC scammed, the CC company will scam you again..
Basically, with DKB all going nuts too (no more chance to get less than 50€ from an ATM.. especially in countries where I only need little amount of cash that's full out crazy.. or in countries where the max. limit is below 50€, it means DKB isn't an option anymore) credit cards are moving into a direction where they'll only be "convenient", but most certainly not being cheaper anymore than using cash / money exchange booths again. Some countries pretty much made sure no one is using credit cards anymore to get cash (Yes Thailand, looking at you) with insane fees.. this is just the icing on the cake..
So the year is soon 2017, and bringing Cash and exchanging will be the only smart way.. welcome to 1917.. (minus a world war, yet.. ).. maybe Traveller Cheques will make a proper comeback soon, who knows?

Swisscard will change the amount of miles you get per 2 CHF spending.
From 1.1.2017:
M&M Classic Credit Cards: Amex 1,5 Meilen Mastercard 0,6 Meilen
M&M Gold Credit Cards: Amex 2 Meilen Mastercard 0,8 Meilen
M&M Platinum Credit Cards: Amex 2,4 Meilen Mastercard 1 Meile

M&M Classic Credit Cards: Amex (1,25) vs. 1,5 Meilen Mastercard (1) vs.0,6 Meilen
M&M Gold Credit Cards: Amex (1,5) vs. 2 Meilen Mastercard (1) vs. 0,8 Meilen
M&M Platinum Credit Cards: Amex (2) vs. 2,4 Meilen Mastercard (1) vs. 1 Meile
it looks like they want to push:
a) Amex in general
b) the more expensive cards
There seem to be other changes coming too:
- Reduced "Treuebonus" (5000 miles / year instead of 9500 for Platinum // 2500 instead of 4500 for Gold // 0 instead of 1000 for Silver)
- No more bonus on amounts spent per year (was up to 10k on the Platinum and Gold, now 0)
- Reduced insurance coverage (for example 2k spend after missing luggage for 48h is gone on the Platinum, but increased from 300 to 700 after 6h on the Gold and Silver)
- Other insurance items gone (for example death & invalidity on the Gold)

Did anyone get this anounced by SwissCard or is it only applicable for new cards? I see that as a contractual change so they should communicate it properly and in fact.
Just for those who might not know:
Cornercard's VISA/MasterCard is also available (one is free for Senators) and still gives 1 Mile per 2 CHF.

In addition to what I gathered from their homepage in my previous post, they are adding a fee of CHF 1.50 for each paper invoice / statement.

I just received a letter / fact sheet in the mail today for the Silver cards. I guess the one for the other cards will follow in a separate letter.

Following up on previous posts on the new Cornercard Diners Club card:
I received a letter in the mail today telling me that as an existing M&M Cornercard credit card holder, I will be getting the DC automatically in mid-January 2017 at no additional cost. I would have to opt out if I don't want it.
The included flyer with the conditions for the DC lists a 2% foreign currency fee, but does not mention the same for CHF transactions "abroad". Might this be a way out of the fee that Cornercard introduced on the MC and Visa earlier this year?

CHF transactions abroad are when you get scammed by DCC - what Corner does is adding insult to injury. Their current "foreign currency fee (and DCC scam)" is 1.2% (increased from 0.9%), so 2% would be a significant increase in fees (unless Diners rates are much better..)

I was thinking about using it for puchases in CHF "abroad" (i.e. flights ex-ZRH paid in CHF, charged "abroad", like BA, AB, KL) as mentioned up-thread.
At the moment, I don't see that kind of surcharge mentioned on the new DC conditions.

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't know that was even legal - so basically if there is a company X, headquarter in country B, and you order something on their Swiss website, charged in CHF, you never know if you're getting charged extra just because they might charge from another country (but in CHF..)
For me, this isn't even borderline, this IS a scam. From Corner..
I'm really fed up with stuff like this.. I understand they've to earn money, but if they use tactics like this (on cards that actually cost serious annual fees) then I really think they've crossed that red thin line..

I don't know whether it would hold up in court, but Swisscard will do the same, starting on Jan, 1, 2017. Only with them, it will be 2,5% (compared to 1,2% at Corner), because that's their "foreign currency fee".

I also have a M&M Cornercard and opted for a M&M Dinersclub which was mailed to me 2 weeks ago free of charge for the first year.
Could you please provide more details about the letter you received?
Your Diners M&M will be free of charge the first year only or for an undetermined time (provided that you remain with 2 Cornercard cards)?
In my case they told me that the Diners from the second year would have a cost of 85 CHF i.s.o. 250 CHF (additional card 35 CHF i.s.o. 100).
Combined, if I stay on my current expenditure level, the Diners + Visa Gold M&M Cornèr would cost me 170 CHF (85 + 85).
Anyway this was before Swisscard announced the increase in mileage for the Amex Gold starting 01.01.17, so I think I'll terminate the Diners during next year if it doesn't stay free of charge, I already got quite a deal
- 15'000 bonus miles free of charge (10k for the main and 5k for the additional)
- CHF expenditure (X'mas gifts :P) until 01.01.17 with the 1 mile : 1 CHF
- 6 Airport lounges vouchers free of charge (spent more than 6'000 CHF), which I can use when I don't travel with *A.
- Edged Swisscard with the Diners offer and got my annual fee of 220 + 80 = 300 CHF (!!!) waived.
PS: I never paid the 1,2 % (Cornèr) foreign transaction fee when I bought something on the swiss online shop of a foreign company and paid in CHF E.g. BA + AF for flights ex-ZRH/GVA, but also Avis for the Porsche First Class Excitement in FRA billed in CHF from the Avis CH, Europcar same stuff, Hermès or other fashion brands idem...

No mention of any cost in the following years. Here's the letter (personal info edited), maybe it's targeted based on spend ("für Sie als treuen Miles & More Karteninhaber...").
