I will update the promotions on this 1st post, unless someone shows me how to create a wiki?

Just click on "thread tools" and then "create a wikipost". I created it for you, feel free to edit it further!

Also, the value for Swiss credit cards is terrible, as usual.

In fact, it's depressing compared to other european credit cards . Better not start comparing with the US .

Beware the foreign currency fees.

Cornercard has 0.9% == good
Swisscard, Bonviva has 2.5% == pretty bad

The Aargauer Bank has released some new products.

Well NAB are a subsidiary of CS, so quite normal that they have similar products, it's really a carbon copy.

Last year (Sep) I cancelled my CornerCard as I dropped to Silver and didn't want to pay the yearly fee. I was told that Cornercard would have BA branded cards.
They are now available for sign-up.

The Diners card is pretty interesting.
•Collect 10,000 welcome bonus Avios when you successfully apply
•Collect 1 Avios for every CHF1 spent
•Collect 2 Avios for every CHF1 spent online at ba.com
•Free travel accident insurance with Cornèrcard
•Access to Diners Club airport lounges
•No annual fee for first year
Last bullet point sold it for me. Just applied.

Cornercard promotes actually up to 25'000 bonus miles for a gold card signup.

NB: If you wish, on top of that, a saving of CHF 100.- on the first year credit card fee, PM (before signing up) for the procedure.

I just had cornercard on the phone for something else, but asked them about that 150.- fee. They told me, even if it's written down, they never ask these 150.- for all (old and new) customers. The operator also double checked it with the right departement.

The "Beitrittsgebühr" has been there for many years, but has never actually been charged.

This deal for the classic card combo is available again. 20'000 miles, first year half price (60chf), offer valid until November 15th. 1.25 M&M miles/2 CHF with the AMEX card and 1 mile/2CHF for the MasterCard.

Looks like a pretty good deal to me (apart from the 2,5% forex fee), unless there's something obvious I missed?

I got this one early this year as well, but I'm seriously considering getting rid of it before I need to pay the 250,- yearly fee for the 2nd year.

Any tips/pitfalls for handling the cancellation?
