If this would have happened. The flight was cancelled short notice and will now depart as LX7178 on Monday 5Sep 11:30. Different information was given about the reason. One lounge attendant mentioned "technical problem" whilst another one said "pilot's problem and no replacement available".

Wonder how they will get the additional two columns for 3-4-3 over 2-4-2 seating into the A340 ....

But seriously of the A340 will be 2-4-2 with new IFE and wifi, there will be some initial cheering and then the avalanche of complaints regarding downgrades to the 777 will start to roll.

At least I finally got on my way, despite with another delay of about 30mins.

I can already say I hate this flight time. Difficult to find sleep on the departure around noon and now suffering in my meetings because of tiredness. I think the night flight is the selling point of LX over SQ for this route.

On the 12 hour leg, you don't have to sleep at noon, you go to sleep around 4pm and then are much better synced against jetlag for the very same day.

Of course that was exactly my plan. It is not that I wanted to sleep immediately but kind of after the service, which was quite substantial in F as usual.

But unfortunately I felt asleep only for about 2,5hrs because I cannot really sleep at 4PM usually.

Medications? Boosted by gratuitous consumption of alcohol?

4 more of these ....

I hope that now that even OS accepted the PE way of flying that LX won't put these things into service only to the revoke them later to put in a PE ... that would be revolting.

I can see the new 777-300ER scheduled for LX38 in May.

I can book the new Swiss Business Class or Virgin Atlantic UC before deval for this flight.

Heart says Swiss, brain says Virgin as redmeptions go up from 50k to 70k each way from tomorrow

How good is the new Swiss Product?

LX 77W is excellent in F, good in J. Can't compare with VS.
