As I thought.... I have flown Virgin, BA LH C products many times and far inferior from experience to SQ and EK.

Tempted to try Swiss for the first time for trans-atlantic travel

SFO route (LX38/LX39) starts mid February with 777 flights, but only on selected days (Tu, Th, Sa).

Should not last too long for HB-JNG to arrive. Paint job has been finished a few days ago.

Is it a brand new 777 or the refurbished A340 ?

I have published a flight report from a recent trip on the LX 77W. It was very empty. Hence, maybe it was not a so good idea by LX to upgauge from A343 to 77W.

I'm on the ZRH-SFO flight on 3/3 which was originally a A340, but now shows 777. I know the 777 are not supposed to fly on Fridays for that route. Anybody know any details, confirm? Or is this just a computer problem.

A340 is old and tired - but crew and food are great so if you bring ur laptop and ipad its kool And at least LX provides F assistant when in transit in HKG Compare this to CX F with no assistant!!!!!
Last summer had an A340 instead of the 777 from HKG to ZRH in F
A340 LX F reminds me of old TG F

With 4 more 77W just ordered, any chance we will see them on the LX188/9 PVG rotations?

Makes you wonder if the 787 or A350 would've been a better pick for them. I'm sure, Boeing made LH a great deal on those 77W.

I would agree. A350 would have made the best replacement for all these aging A340 metals in LX fleet.

Not sure if this is the correct thread for this, so admins please feel free to move.

Had two LX F flights this week and both crews confirmed that when the 5 remaining A340 aircraft are re-fit with new F, there will be a second bathroom added to the F cabin.

Additionally, due to the width of the plane, there will be no wardrobe on the F seats. However, there will be a fully closing partition, so from the outside of the 'suite' it will look the same when closed as the 777 F seats.

I don't usually put much faith to what I hear from "Galley FM" but both pursers seemed very informed and certain of what they were telling me.
