What is the etiquette/best way to look for these redemption rates? Was on the phone with SPG yesterday suggesting 5-day windows ad naseum but couldn't locate these.

Beach suites

Uh oh? Is it gone?

Has anyone figured out why the beach suites are more expensive than OWB?

Booked via chat tonight for beginning of April for 7 nights.

BV was 1k less per night (apart from the free night) than the OV we chose.

Not sure why some are saying beach is more expensive, would this be the bigger beach villa?

I think you may be confusing the garden villa with a beach villa. The garden villa is 1k less than the over-water villa. The beach villa is significantly more.

Garden villa: 31.5K/night
Overwater villa: 32.5K/night
Beach villa: 60K/night
Sunset overwater villa: 75K/night
Overwater St Regis Suite: 90K/night
2BR Family villa: 120K/night

Even those pricier options seem decent compared to the W pricing.

Looking at the OWV it looks bigger than the equivalent DWV at the Conrad which cost us 350k HH points plus $4500++ so I am quite happy with the OWV.

Definitely not gone. I just booked 10 nights in an Over Water Villa.

This will be my second trip to Maldives -- I did my honeymoon at Conrad Maldives 3 years ago.

Very strange pricing scheme here -- I think this is the first time I've seen a Beach Villa more expensive than an Over Water Villa.

Taxes
Room rate includes the following:
Gst:
12.0 % Per Room / Per Night
Room rate excludes the following:
Green Tax:
6.0 Usd Per Person / Per Night
Hotel Charges
Room rate includes the following:
Service Charge:
10.0 % Per Room / Per Night

So I see nothing about a resort fee and I'm sure as hell not paying it.
I was told that the taxes for my 5 night stay would work out to about $60

I also want to know. I can imagine myself hating it after 2 days and I only have 5 nights booked.
I remember being bored out of my mind at the Conrad Koh Samui and had to rent a car and went out everyday.

Everyone is looking for different things on vacations.

I am well traveled -- sometimes I go on trips where the goal is to do a lot of exploring, including a month-long round-the-world that visited 9 cities in ~30 days. These trips work well if I am otherwise relaxed in life and looking for some excitement.

Other times I am very stressed in my regular life, and would just like to relax. This is one of those trips. My last trip to Maldives was ~20 days (I forget exactly) at the Conrad Maldives, we did a bunch of excursions and were never bored.

Personally, I don't understand the point of traveling to the literal other side of the planet for only 5 days -- but to each his own.

On their website they say that they have complementary snorkeling equipment for their house reef. They also have a PADI dive shop with nitrox available if you prefer diving.

So nobody has hit a blackout or sold out date?

Small' side step question- I'm a UNITED *A customer, anyone have recommendations to Maldives from SFO?

So far it seems my best option is SFO - SIN - MLE but arrival time is awful around 11p, and then I'd need to catch the hotel's plane from MLE to the resort, losing another day.

Thanks in advance,
