Westin,

Is that Nov 2016 or 2017?

Is that St Regis Overwater? That was always 90 I think.

I wonder if the opening date is slipping to November - if you look on the website now it says opening Sept 1 but the first bookable day is Nov 1.

Nov 1 was always the first bookable day...maybe giving themselves a safety buffer and time for soft opening?

According to their FB post, it did say the opening date is Nov 1. Will be there Nov 2017 since I've booked all my travel plans already in 2017.

I am booked for 11/3-11/9 for my honeymoon in an Overwater Villa. 162,500 as opposed to 150,000+$450/night at the PH? Yes please.

Yes, that sounds right; and the PH OWV doesn't have their own pools, or over-water hammocks. Also, after taxes and fees its about 500 a night to upgrade.

I'm well aware. I was just sharing when I am going to be going per the earlier posts.

Can I still be able to change the reservation? I have a reservation on 12/25-12/30 and hope to move it to Nov. with better flight availability. Do they still allowed to do so or is there any special way to do that?

If this is an award reservation, you would have to re-book it anew.

This is a shame. I was able to book 12/27-12/30, as I only had enough points for 3 nights in my account. On Sunday night I filed the points transfer from my wife to my account. I called on Monday and Tuesday and 12/25 and 12/26 were still available. Points took 4 days to transfer and during that time, SPG yanked all the availability. Now I've got 3 nights booked, and the remaining points in my account....sucks

Side note: During this time, SPG wouldn't allow me to have a courtesy hold on the rooms while the points were waiting to be transferred and were unable to help expedite the transfer process.

Why didn't you book the other two nights using your wife's account? Just add your name as second guest.

Hi William, can you let us know typically the range/how high the "instant reward" Starpoint redemption costs are at a luxury SPG resort (i.e., paying for spa packages, food, and/or beverages with Starpoints)?

My apologies, but no. These are hotel-generated awards and vary from property to property.
