There is a Hyatt sub-forum for everything related to SLH, benefits, reviews, etc...

https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/small-luxury-hotels-slh-772/

would be nice if the forum would get a boost Cheers 59Impala

Paid stays are 10%+ cheaper if booked as an SLH member on its website. It, also, includes continental breakfast. (note from @59impala. I paid a 30% premium for The Plymouth Southbeach.) (antonius66 I observed 10-30% premiums for 2 hotels in Portugal over SLH direct, closer to 50% over OTAs)
A limited number of reviews of SLH properties may be found in the Other Hotel Chains Forum.
World of Hyatt members can earn 5 Base Points for every $1 USD spent on qualifying room rates and can redeem points for free nights at participating SLH hotels. It doesn't stop there, members can also enjoy exclusive in-hotel benefits when staying at a participating SLH hotel.
Complimentary continental breakfast for two
Complimentary Wi-Fi
Early check-in 12:00pm (based on availability at check-in)
Late check-out 2:00pm (based on availability at check-in)
One category room upgrade (based on availability at check-in)

I've reached out to the hotel to see if they can provide any clarification. Does anyone have any experience with booking this property specifically? I imagine if I can't even book with cash on the SLH site that even if I call Hyatt to book with points, they wouldn't see any inventory.
Doesn't look like the hotel is open at the moment. SLH site is not showing any availability over the next 12 months.

I finally heard back from the hotel and this was their response:

"We are afraid to say that our sales for slh.com and hyatt.com are discontinued due to scrutiny of contract details under the influence of COVID-19."

This has been my experience in the past, too. however, more recently, I have seen a couple of SLH properties in Europe, which are actually slightly cheaper on hyatt.com vs slh.com. This could be due to varying currency exchange rates used though. So actually the same rate.

For instance looking at the Mykonos Ammos Hotel (https://www.hyatt.com/en-US/hotel/gr...os-hotel/jmkym) from 9/26 to 10/7:

hyatt.com:

and SLH.com:

On SLH.com please be aware that if you look at rates without being logged in as an SLH member, you might not see the lowest rate. Many times you need to login first, and then you might see a rate such as "10% off members only"; I checked quickly and it is indeed the case for Mykonos Ammos as well. I have seen on occasion 20% off for SLH members for other properties.

So even in this case for Mykonos, you would be paying 10% more on Hyatt than on SLH without knowing at first glance.

Non Hyatt relationship specific, however I have a couple of SLH free nights valid for any European property to use. Any recommendations on the best SLH properties in Europe?

Not sure what kind of experience you are looking for, but I am currently staying at the Schlosshotel Kronberg near Frankfurt and it's absolutely gorgeous. The staff is extremely attentive and the whole property and estate are simply stunning. I am definitely planning on returning.

Open to ideas! As it can be used at any property I’d be looking for maximum value , somewhere aspirational, however maybe somewhere that isn’t too isolated or hard to reach.

I think you should have a look at this list: https://journal.slh.com/journal/slh-award-winners-2020/

I just stayed at the Palazzo Vecchietti in Firenze, very nice hotel. I just published a review in the SLH thread.

Very nice, perhaps not the best value for these ‘anywhere’ vouchers looking at the rates, although in saying that it may well be more about where I can use them rather than want to use them.

Yeah it depends, currently rates around 350€, in Summer I'd say they are around 700€.

I enjoyed the Beaune location. Still need to write a review though...if you are into French wine this could be an option too.
I received an upgrade to a suite, too, without asking. They recognized my WOH LT Glob status!
