There is a Hyatt sub-forum for everything related to SLH, benefits, reviews, etc...

https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/small-luxury-hotels-slh-772/

would be nice if the forum would get a boost Cheers 59Impala

Paid stays are 10%+ cheaper if booked as an SLH member on its website. It, also, includes continental breakfast. (note from @59impala. I paid a 30% premium for The Plymouth Southbeach.) (antonius66 I observed 10-30% premiums for 2 hotels in Portugal over SLH direct, closer to 50% over OTAs)
A limited number of reviews of SLH properties may be found in the Other Hotel Chains Forum.
World of Hyatt members can earn 5 Base Points for every $1 USD spent on qualifying room rates and can redeem points for free nights at participating SLH hotels. It doesn't stop there, members can also enjoy exclusive in-hotel benefits when staying at a participating SLH hotel.
Complimentary continental breakfast for two
Complimentary Wi-Fi
Early check-in 12:00pm (based on availability at check-in)
Late check-out 2:00pm (based on availability at check-in)
One category room upgrade (based on availability at check-in)

I'm looking at May, but have checked a number of properties (both SLH and Hyatt sites) and there is no availability 1/1/21 onward.

Following up on my own experience...the property I'm looking at now shows availability for all of 2021 on the SLH site (wasn't the case a few weeks back). However - none of that has been "released" to Hyatt (either cash or points).

I assumed that IF it was a participating SLH w/Hyatt, the space would always be there (with the ~5-15% booking premium we have observed at times). Not the case here. Was I incorrect?

unsure about your first paragraph...
on the second... looking at various hotels in Europe I have noticed the exact same rate on hyatt.com and on slh.com.
just booked the Ibiza location a couple of days ago.

I had a great stay in Beaune in France. Used my Cat1-7 award. Still need to post a review asap....

So ironically Hyatt.com just got "access" (points and cash) today...Vista Palazzo Lago di Como (aka Lake Como in Italy) - booked! Steep at 40K/night, but close to $1,000 cash rate so a pretty solid redemption all things considered.

Have checked daily for the last few months...persistence matters!

New SLH added

I am seeing a few properties today that seem to have just been added, I saw more but just a few to get started with. Now one or two of these I may have overlooked in the past but some have just been added I am sure.

Pacific Resort Aitutaki
The Terrace Club at Busena
Angkor Village Hotel

Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness Resort

Sorry guys if that’s been covered - just can’t find a proper confirmation anywhere. Do I get Hyatt points and qual nights if booking directly through SLH website? Can’t see any mention or anywhere to add Hyatt details when on SLH website too.

Ok fair enough. It’s just weird that Hyatt doesn’t show any availability while SLH clearly has available rooms on these dates. Glad I checked, almost booked.

Hyatt and SLH partnership is rather limited. They often have different availability and different rates. You are better off to book with SLH and forgo points sometimes.

I've stayed at a fair share of SLH properties through Hyatt and have found that the SLH site operates a normal booking window (can book a year+ out) for their properties but if you want to book through Hyatt you can only go about 6-8 months out.

Booking through Hyatt is often 10-30% more expensive than booking directly through SLH. Make sure the points are worth it ...

It has very little to do with "points" (except for burning them) and a whole lot to do with elite night credits.

I'm looking to book the Abba Resorts Izu SLH next May using Hyatt points. I've noticed there are many SLH properties that are not available to book with points or cash on the Hyatt or SLH site. In reading through the last few pages here that doesn't seem much of a surprise. It looks like I can book the property directly on their property page, but nowhere else. I've reached out to the hotel to see if they can provide any clarification. Does anyone have any experience with booking this property specifically? I imagine if I can't even book with cash on the SLH site that even if I call Hyatt to book with points, they wouldn't see any inventory.
