Ulev, does anything special need to be done on the booking to earn the 2500 HHonors points?

Thanks.

depends, if the car is booked through the status or not. but if you in the reservation only put in your name without the gold or platinum card, the system wont tell the assistant even though you are one. therefore always put in the number after chosing the tariff or book the tariff which is valid for the card anyway

Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.50 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/4.0.9749/209; U; en))

I have noticed lately that using my Platinum discount is lower than logging in without the Platinum card number. Last year, it was much higher by about 40% even with the "35% discount." It seems Sixt has updated their system and now my prices are lower. It's a hit and miss and I find myself checking both rates before proceeding!

are you sure you are not using the 35% platinum rate and the 35% (L3) International discount rate? yes, in this case platinum rate is more expensive for weekends. (but not for a whole week)

the 2 rates are calculated on different base rates. (for whatever reason only sixt will know)

Just had a FDMR dropped at my door by my local rural SIXT station (about 15 miles away from me) for a 28-day longterm rental.

Turned out to be a Mercedes CLS Diesel. ^

Not too shabby given a rate of EUR 626 (+ 19% VAT) for 28 days, plus EUR 103 (+ 19% VAT) for the snow tires. Since the rental on my company, the VAT doesn't count, anyway.

Only 500, I guess.
And 500 HH points.

Or maybe not, as Sixt appears to exclude long-term contracts from mileage earning.
Then again, I couldn't care less about those miles.

UA Ameniti

I recieved the Sixt Plat membership via the united Ameniti program which was cancelled last year. Does anyone have any idea if they will renew me for '08? I rented with them 4-5 times including 2 1 month rentals. Not sure what the qualifications are for Plat, but I also have Herzt 5-satr, and there isn't much qual for that status.

The Status with Sixt does not expire, as far as I know. If you once got it you will stay with it.

Sixt told me that the Sixt status does not expire. Sounds logical (Diamond for example).

Ok, Dimamond is a special status that you can't earn by just renting cars. so that might be different from Plat and Gold....
