Having just received a SIXT Platinum (comped from HHonors Diamond), I've booked a holiday car at SIXT PMI (Mallorca, Spain) for 11 days in July at a fair price. All my professional car rental has been in the US, so I have no SIXT experience up to this point.
I'd like to make sure I "Double Dip" and receive both HHonors points (hopefully 5000 for first Platinum rental) and SAS Eurobonus points (1500 special offer until end of july).
I booked a Internet rate, and put my Platinum number in the comments field as suggested in this forum. As FF program I put in SAS.
Do I need to do anything before pick-up to ensure I get both Hilton and SAS points ? Or can I just have them PMI station enter the Hilton and SAS details at pick-up ?
Apart from the points, of course I hope for a upgrade (booked EDMR, e.g. VW Polo). Any experience with PMI treatment of Platinums ?

Answering my own question: Yes it works with all airline parnters of HH and Sixt referring to the Sixt website.

What happened to Platinum?
I requested the Platinum Card a little while ago (comped from United 1K), but never received it in the mail. Today I am checking on the e-sixt web site, and the Platinum Card is no longer mentioned - only Express, Gold, and American Express. Did they stop offering the Platinum Card, or am I missing something?

Quick update: I talked to them this morning, apparently I already have a Platinum Card, although I never actually received it in the mail. At any rate, I have the account number now, so it should be fine. It still appears that the Platinum Card is no longer offered to new customers, so I am still worried that the program might cease to exist next year.

Adrian, for some reason I have had good luck (knock on wood). I received my basic card in the mail a few weeks ago, and Andrew said he'd send the updated Plat card out in the post today. I do hope the Plat doesn't go away, as I plan on using the local Sixt station here a lot this year...

Fraud is not possible because they check your status with the issuer of your hotel/airline card (at least in my case).
Hotline told me that all cards remain valid, and that they automatically send you a new one if your old expires no matter how much you rented in the past.

Yes, it should be that way, but there were several reports here on FT how to bypass the normal process. Much likely Sixt closed the loophole.

I think this also means, that the rule 20times renting in a year equals getting the platinum card doesnt work anymore. this is the only thing I guess that doesnt work. or they do it automatically by computer system at the end of the year.
however, I think it is good, that they limit the number of platinum cards a bit, as it didnt really seem to be exclusive in the past anymore. (in the contrary to the europcar FIRST, which is rare and gives 3-4 classes upgrades, not 1 or 2 like Sixt)
or they give the really heavy renters the Diamod
thats never gonna happen

I am Platinum (United/Ameniti 35%). Will I get better rates when joining Sixt HappyDigits (20%)?
35%, 20%, but from what basis-price, which card has the best final price. I know that HappyDigits does not include VAT. However, I got a better price with HappyDigits on my last rental in Marrakech ... the price was so good (low!), that the agent had to call the headquarter in Casablanca
