if you book XFAZ Im 99% sure that youre going to get a bare bone GLS. I have a great relationship with one of the SoCal locations. From my understanding they usually share vehicles to accommodate demand. Last time I talked to a manager at one of the branches, they mentioned that theres only 2 Escalades left in the SoCal fleet.

I have driven Sixt's S-Classes in Vegas and their GLS in Maui last week, and boy oh boy I don't even know how they manage to find cars with so few features - I didn't even realise those features were options in such a high-priced car. I feel like it's a special order / extra cost to remove all those features from these cars! No parking sensors, no massaging seats, no seats that turn when you exit ("Easy Entry"), no automatic high beams, no keyless entry, in fact - the GLS I had did not have xenons! I seriously wished I'd have taken the X5, it was probably less de-spec'd.

And when you say barebones oh boy, do you mean it.

From my experience and I might get some back lash for this one here. But go anything other then German made vehicles with Sixt in the States. Ive rented CTS fully loaded, Escalades Fully loaded, Range Rover and Range Rover Sport with great loaded options. Chrysler 300s with more options then any of there Mercedes. It pathetic that a German company has base models of German vehicles. Im not asking for fully loaded Mercedes, but man at least Xenon head lamps.

Corvette at LAX
Can anyone tell me what version of the Corvette group XTAM would be? It's guaranteed to be a Corvette Convertible but would it be a Stingray, Grant Sport, Z06?

RR Velar is all about the looks, I don't like the rest very much - OK to drive, but definitely below BMW or Mercedes in comparison. Volvo is not a very sporty drive, HMI needs some getting used to, but solid and in general OK

The question is what equipment you are looking for - they all have sat nav, electric seats, xenon or led lights, alu rims etc. etc.; leather sometimes (alternative is leatherette which looks identical). If I had the choice between a low spec new X5 and a loaded XC90 my decision would be an easy one... but maybe I am biased here...

Last X5 I had was OK in terms of equipment, and much better than the loaded Escalade I got recently in NYC.... (aber das ist natrlich die Meinung eines Deutschen :-))

Als Deutscher lege ich natrlich viel Wert auf diese Meinung ;-)
So, I booked in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, the experiences are completely contradictory. Often the Escalade is praised as super equipped, and the german cars - they were poorly equipped. So whats the true?

The Escalade is indeed fully loaded, but all the features are sub-par compared to other makes (Head Up Display, entertainment system etc.) - looks great on the spec sheet, but not good in reality. German cars in US fleet are less specced but have everything you need IMHO (for further details: send PM and we can talk in German or have a call)

Dont fall fur the hype German Sixt US cars are POS. Stay away from them. Im slowly transitioning away from Sixt because they are getting away from fully loaded cars and ordering base models. I recently obtained Hertz President Circle. At least at Hertz I could get a fully loaded C63 AMG, even decently loads C300 4MATIC. At Sixt Im going to get a bare bone C300, with a terrible sound system.
