I will make two trips to MUN in dec and in jan,
my "entourage" of four will travel with skiing equipment, so there
will be quite many bags + ski bags.

So I need tips that which (decently priced) car would suit us best / has the largest trunk? Skoda Suberb STW (SWMR) or Ford Galaxy (SVMR).

(I don't want to use the magnetic "ski racks").

Hi,

Please accept my apologies. In regards to your platinum benefits, you may not nesscarily get the discount if you are booking through an agent that will already give you the cheapest rates. However, if you are entitled to a vehicle upgrade with your platinum card then you can still benefit from that, subject to vehicle availability, of course.

If you would like to provide me with your platinum card number and reservtion number via a private message then I will be happy to link the two of these for you.

I have read a lot of negative reviews about the service receive at the Sixt counter at Miami airport, in particular about representatives trying to insist on selling insurance and services that were unwanted. In previous thread it was mentioned that this would be reported and investigated. Due to this I am a little weary of choosing Sixt for my rentall.

We as a company will admit that on occasion things can and do go wrong. However, we always welcome feedback and will do everything we can to ensure the same situation does not occur in the future. The case will have been reported to the higher management team so the location will be working on providing a greater service for all customers.

Hi sixtcustomerservices, does Sixt USA offer any discounts for longer term rentals?

i've been looking on the website LAX-LAX for 28 days or Santa Monica-LAX for 27 days. neither indicate any discounts that apply for longer term rentals.

Hi Bergsey,

What dates and vehicle type are you looking for? If you can send me a private message with the details, I'll see what I can do. There may not be a discount as such advertised online, as the daily rates for longer hires do tend to be cheaper in general.

Hi Sixt Customer Service,

I am thinking about renting a car soon from Sixt SJC. Does Sixt waive airport taxes if I am not arriving by plane? I am from the Bay Area so somebody will be dropping me off to the airport to pick up the car.

Hi kxc262,

Unfortunately we wouldn't be able to remove the airport fees if you are not flying into the location. This fee is a standard charge applicable to the branch and we are unable to waive this. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Hi CALIF65GM,

Thanks for your patience while we have checked this for you. Unfortunately Sixt Las Vegas do not have a separate Express Check in counter available.

However, if you fill in the Express Service online, then the branch will have your details available upon collection and you will be able to collect your vehicle as quickly and smoothly as possible.

Hi ringingup,

We do have an Express counter at Miami Airport, but it is not open at all times. The Express check out is on the third floor, instead of our regular check out on the forth floor.

You have to pass by the 4th floor to get to the 3rd floor. The fastest way to check out is to see if there is a line on the 4th floor and then take the escalator down to 3rd to where the cars are.
