Actually no need. They refunded the fare difference when i returned the car, quickly and politely. Frankly, I know problems happen. Sixt handled this as well as i'd expect in the situation.

I used SIXT at MIA 2 years ago and was thoroughly satisfied, but it looks like rates have more than doubled since then! Are there any coupons/vouchers for returning customers?

Although it is true everywhere with every car rental, Sixt MIA has highly variable rates depending on demand. Before giving up it is a good idea to keep trying.

In addition, as Louise points out, Sixt will match Sixt Platinum from quite a few highest elite levels with airlines and hotels. That is worth a fee upgrade and discounted rates. I'm assuming you do not already have Sixt status.

Hi,

Good choice! The vehicles available in the XCAR category at the Sea-Tac Airport location are: BMW 5 series, Mercedes-Benz E class and Cadillac XTS.

Hi,
we arrive on 05.09.2014 in Miami and have booked a FFAR tariff with Sixt.
We are 5 adults with suitcases and hand luggage.
What vehicles are available to us there i know there is no choice line.
A Chevy Suburban LTD would be optimal, for example.

At Miami International Airport the FFAR category includes the Chevrolet Suburban and the Ford Expedition.

If you'd rather have the Chevy, then I can make a request on your booking for you. It's not a guarantee I'm afraid, but the branch will see the request and try their best to provide you with your choice.

I have a rental coming up in the new San Diego Sixt. Is there a shuttle from the airport to the office??

Hi,

There is a shuttle bus service to the desk in San Diego which runs every 15 minutes. It will pick you up from the Rental Car Shuttle Pick up area.

If you are arriving at Terminal 1, then just take the escalator across from the main baggage claim area up and over to the Rental Car Shuttle location. If you're arriving into Terminal 2, then all you need to do is cross the street to the Shuttle area.

I do not rent this class but I am often at MIA Sixt. All the FFAR that I se there seem to be Suburbans, FWIW. The MIA location is very accommodating also if they've good inventory in stock.

thank you for the quick response.
If there are only these two types of vehicles should be enough space.
Could you maybe find out if there are 2014 or 2015 models and wich specs LS ,LT or LTZ.
If it is not also not bad.
